I suppose that would technically make the story a myth - but modern use of the term "myth" has connotations that would possibly offend the touchy used in that context.BioticArm wrote...

There technically aren't any lore-friendly Geth names; but Legion is named after a character from human legend when he's around organics. Thus, I've taken the liberty of naming my Geth after gods. I think my Geth Engineer Morpheus (Greek God of Sleep), my Geth Infiltrator Erebus (Greek Primordial of Darkness) and my Geth Soldier Tartarus (Deepest Plane of the Greek Underworld; Hell).
Legion is from the Bible.
Not a Legend bro.
Lore-friendly Geth names?

Edit: I've already got another Geth name saved up, too. In case we get a Prime or analogous unit.

Lore-wise a geth's name should be whatever its immediate comrades either choose or suggest. My geth engineer was picked up by a human platoon, so its name is Glitch. My geth infiltrator was assigned to an asari unit, and they named it Kurinth (asari goddess of war and hunting, since it's a geth hunter and all). I haven't decided where the soldier fits yet. I'm thinking it's probably with a krogan troop since I keep ending up in krogan lobbies with it, so I imagine the poor thing will probably end up being called Scrap or Bolt Head or something generally less than respectful or affectionate.
A geth raised in a krogan environment.. hm I like that combo! Maybe the GSo is lorded over by one of the local mechanics and he got his fortification after nearly being run over by one of their tanks. Also explains the affinity to set things on fire w/ flamer.
On a completely different note, I'd like to see a Krogan mechanic as a engineer kit. This game could use a mortar power

Cohort
Centuria
Vex (short for Vexillation)
Legio (a Legion's command staff)
GaiusMarius (the Consul/General who re-organized the Roman military, sometime referred to as the "third founder of Rome)
But now my GI is just "OptimusPrime".

The first two were based around the scheme that started with Legion. The last one just seemed appropriate for an Infiltrator.
