My geth Soldier, Infiltrator and Engineer are called G-Unit, GethDeth, and 01000111. And they always have been. I'm sure only the last one is remotely lore friendly.

I named mine after types of electrical measurements. (Amp, Volt, Watt, etc.)

You can always put funny ACII stuff, or new geth choose their names when they find a concept that defines that unique formation of programs or names with a reference to something else, like "Legion", "Adam" (could be something like a very old program), "Defence". "Maquinist" (A coordinator similar to a Prime).

My head canon says that the Geth unearthed and uploaded an obscure human baby name book, which went viral. So my Geth have old fashioned types of names. Now that we don't have to change them every promote, they're developing personalities too ^^

Incarnation, Manifestation and Avatar are my geth, infiltrator, engineer, and soldier respectively.

"Legion" was a geth platform exclusively created to enter in contact with organics, especially humans, especially Shepard.

Legion explain the "geth" as we see them (the humanoids robots) are only platforms where hundreds of geth (softwares) programs. So, no individuality, only individual perceptions. Parsed data are sent to the "hive".

But,

When Legion do what he do regarding the reaper code, all geth (platforms or softwares, it is not clear) starts to gain strict consciousness.

Considering the geth fighting against the reapers are those upgraded geth, therefore they have a consciousness and a certain dose of individuality.

So, names can come, relations with organics can be frequents, and where there is an "I" instead of a "we", there is a strong possibility to find a name.

The biblical reference is of course not an obligation. I suppose it is anecdotic. The name shoudl depend of where the geth(s) have lived, with who and what interactions have been made.

A geth initially stationned in a contingent of Vorsha should most likely called "machine" or "Steel robot", but frequenting Hanar, it could be "the-one-being-created-with-great-hope".

Your imagination is the limit.

I name all of my characters after a certain plant. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the actual name of the plant that I use, but I'm sure you can figure it out. lol

Geth do not name themselves, so 'lore-friendly' names would be any name you think someone else would have given them. So, technically, any name is lore friendly.
