If I create an infiltrator on December 12th, its designation will be SRU_1212 (for Stealth Reconnaissance Unit). If I create an engineer on the 13th, it'll be TSU_1213 (Technical Support Unit). If I create a soldier on the 14th, it'll be FAU_1214 (Frontal Assault Unit). That's the convention I use.

So we all know that Legion is named after a group of demons that inhabited a single body (before being exorcised) in the Bible.  I like to give all of my characters lore-friendly names because I actually derive sustenance from concentrated nerd energy.  And so I decided to name my Geth characters after fitting Biblical figures, but the only Geth that I've unlocked thus far is the Trooper.  I named it Uriel, the mythological (ie: there's some debate over the canonicity of the name) angel who was tasked with defending the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword after the fall of man.  So like, flaming sword = Flamer.

Can any of you guys think of good names for the Engineer and Infiltrator or another name for the Trooper in this same vein?

Please note that I am in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM TRYING TO START ANY KIND OF RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION OR DEBATE.  I'm just trying to get ideas for what to name these guys after I eventually unlock them.

I took inspiration from the Clonetroopers from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and gave them nicknames like they do in the show.
So, my Engineer is called "5555-Fives" and my Infiltrator is named "3548-Echo".
I haven't been fortunate enough to be blessed with the Geth Trooper... but when I do get him I'll more than likely name him "7007-Sev".

So, it look like these Geth had originally given their Platform numbers and other Alliance, N7 or other Allies have given them nicknames based on that or how they behave.

All right, I actually had a dork moment last night and went through all the biblical name listed on Wikipedia. Going by their listed meaning there and overall "coolness" of the way the name sounds, I drew up a small list that seemed befitting of the three.

For the Trooper, I went with anything that sounded like a soldier or had to do with fire. For the Infiltrator, anything that spoke of death or hidden/cloaked things (i.e. secret, shadow, etc). The Engineer was the most obtuse -- I went three different ways: things that describe overload (lightning), things that describe the turret (support, healing for those that took that evolution), and general ideas of support since he's generally considered a support class type.

Trooper:
Amoz - strong; robust
Anaharath - dryness, burning, wrath
Abaddon - the destroyer
Apollos - one who destroys; destroyer
Ashbel - an old fire
Baara - a flame; purging
Balak - who lays waste or destroys (although, there’s a Batarian who already had that name in the SP)
Beor - burning; foolish; mad,burning or torch,a torch
Gideon - he that bruises or breaks; a destroyer
Seraphim - burning; fiery
Taberah - burning
Topheth - place of burning
Uri - my light, my fire
Urim - lights; fires

Engineer:
Arphaxad - a healer; a releaser (healing turret)
Azmon - bone of a bone; our strength (support)
Azor - a helper
Beneberak - sons of lightning (overload)
Bezek - lightning; in the chains
Jachin - he that strengthens and makes steadfast
Joezer - he that aids
Sheleph - who draws out (turret pinpointing nearby enemies)
Zepho - that sees and observes; that expects or covers

Infiltrator:
Aceldama - field of blood
Ahimoth - brother of death
Almon – hidden
Azrael - the Angel of Death
Horeb - solitude; destruction
Nahbi - very secret
Sanballat - enemy in secret
Sethur - hid; destroying
Sodi - my secret
Zenan - coldness; target; weapon
Zilthai - my shadow

My engineer's called Daedalus and my infiltrator's called Actaeon. Both names from Greek mythology. The trooper I named Huracan, after the Mayan god of fire.

I named my Geth Engineer "Root." I'm a bit of a computer nerd though. I found it ironic that I later found out there's a character on Jim Caviezel's Person of Interest television show named the same.
