Am I the only who liked the flamboyant, whiny blacksmith... err I mean... "artiste". He was sadly missing from DA2, but I thought he was funny. Besides that, he was the only other "crafter" type of NPC besides Sandal. DA2 just had Sandal.

I would not mind Wade.

He's too potentially "dead" to bring back.

And before one of you smarmy bastards mentions Leliana, I'll note that Wade was only a minor character. The potential for resurrection is proportional to the plot significance of the NPC in question.

It's why you don't see too many Force ghosts of rebel pilots hanging out with Obi-Wan Kenobi post-New Hope.

His flamboyance always struck me as stereotypical. I'm surprised that they had him in the original, much less thought it would be a good idea to have him feature prominently in the expansion.

I doubt he'll be back.

I never thought of that.. Is there a scenario where he dies? I thought all the Awakenings endings weren't total destruction of the Keep at least.

If he's too stereotypical for some, then just include a damn blacksmith....period. It's silly having having to loot everything. Especially when it comes to dragon corpses.

I think that if you don't do your upgrades and even if you do, there are heavy casualties at the keep if you don't go to protect it. He may be dead in this situation.

Leliana was more major than he is, but relatively minor as well. Her death is retconned simply because she's awesome, and the people who killed her are lame. lol. Simple as that. She wasn't one of Gaider's characters (Sheryl Chee wrote her), but I think she took on a life of her own post release and every writer wanted her around.

If the Keep is not defended or fully upgraded, then it is completely destroyed. Wade and Herren could have survived somehow — Anders did — but it's unlikely.

Well, if he and Herren somehow survived those playthroughs where the Keep was not fortified, I would not be adverse to a cameo. His enthusiasm for his craft was most delightful.
