It's a trade off between staggering and sync kills. With the Geth, there is no way you'll end up getting sync killed 15 seconds before extraction. You can get dropped, but there's always medi-gel.

I think it is a matter of perception that sync kills are more dangerous than being stun locked. I mentioned Reapers.
If you are afraid of being picked up by a banshee before extraction then just wait at the opposite end of the LZ until the timer is about 1 minute or 45 seconds left. Next sprint back to the LZ mashing Operations Pack where necessary to improve survivability.

A wild banshee appears and teleports to the LZ?
Rocket. So what if you rocket one banshee. Extraction is extraction.

Stunlock is way more dangerous than sync kills. Loss of control of your character > anything.
You might as well just take your hands off the controller/keyboard mouse when being stunlocked.

I've noticed when playing my geth engineer that bombers are usually completely unharmed the first time I zap them with overload. The animation plays, the recharge timer starts, the zap bounces to the next two enemies, but the bomber itself takes no damage whatsoever until after I hit it a second time or start shooting it. Maybe this bug is preventing your biotic charge from working as well.

The only thing I don't like about the bomber is they are hard to spot. They hover just above your field of view so you can't see them when you are close. Oh and who's bright idea was it to give them the ability to dodge projectiles?

i think giving the bombers a stunlock was completely unnecessary

And it's an op'd amount of damage you get from that shock too.

I didn't use to think that until like two nights ago where I was sniping and one somehow got behind me and shocked me twice. Goodbye shield and like half of my health. Then again...I wasn't particularly leveled, and none of my points were in fitness on my Salarian....so....probably just me. XD

Why? Because the Geth Bomber doesn't like you and wants you dead.

Stunlocks are annoying as hell, but you can still always come back from one. A sync kill is always game over, so I understand the people who prefer to take their chances with stunlocking vs. sync killing. For my part, I don't solo (except the occasional bronze when I know I can't devote myself fully to a game), so I can't really speak to the merits of either argument. I was just making the point that that's why a lot of people choose Geth when soloing higher levels.

December 4 balance changes:

Prime sentry turrets have an area shock similar to the one used by decoy and drones.

Pyros now have grenades.

Stunlock from Geth Hunters replaced with OHK to satisfy demand for less stunlock.

I just wish Overload worked on them. Energy Drain works just fine, but with Overload you have to have the actual crosshair over them and red, not just a targeting outline.

If love to have a debug version of the game so I could see the Bomber's hitbox. I think the hitbox might be bugged or lags behind the unit itself.
