Hello,

What's the deal with finding the Geth Pulse rifle in mass effect 2 only on
hardcore or insanity difficulty. The weapon should be available to find on all difficulties,
for people who like to play however they please, but still get everything in
the game. Please fix this.

Mate, just get the Gibbed Save Editor and give yourself the pulse rifle if you want it that much. Nobody from BioWare is going to change this on a 3 year old game now.

Difficulty between normal and hardcore in the mission needed for the geth pulse rifle isnt that big really.
Just take it easy and bring Grunt who rely on armor instead of shield and therefore isnt affected by the solar radiation.

I used to play as a soldier all the time, but now I'm getting into using biotics more so than my weapons. So not having an assault rifle is becoming status quo for me. That being said, the pulse rifle is pretty sweet.

You have to go to Haestrom (where you recruit Tali) and change the difficulty setting to hardcore or insanity.  Go through the entire level on one of those two settings and at the end, in the room where Tali is waiting, you should find a geth pulse rifle on a geth body.

thanks is there anymore weapons you can get ? also if i flip the setting back from hardcore/Insanity after the tali mission can i still use it on veteran, im not ready for insanity run yet

Yes, you can switch back to whatever difficulty you want after you acquire it. As far as other weapons go, have you gotten the Kassa Locust? Or the Widow sniper rifle? I ask because they are two of my favorite guns.
