Because Saber, that's why. They're fixing the Cloak anyways, I'm sure of it. They got a quick fix on the Vorcha Engis Submission Net, so most likely the Cloak will be fixed too.


Vorcha Engi's Subnet was not bugged per se, it had old values in it. The Asari cloak, assuming it's bugged, probably wouldn't be fixed that easily.

This is probably not going to happen due to the fact the reason they removed the charge was to stop missile glitchers. So unless they found an compleatly different work around for that problem it's not going to happen.

And frankly I hated the charge on it, if it had a fire w/o charging but much weaker like the GPS fine but to have to charge it just to fire was just bad, in my opinon at least.

Depends if the Huntress cloak is a bug or a balancing issue.
Vorcha SubNet was purely a balancing issue where they only had to fiddle with the stats.

About the Acolyte, I think it should have a 0.25x modifier against armor or something so it really is bad against it, it is still to good against armor imo.

That might be the case, as well as damage to health.

Yeah, 0.25x vs armor and 0.50x vs health would be nice, it can also get an even slower ROF actually, even though it already feels slow as it is...

Ditto. I remember using it once and sucking so hard with it. Shooting it felt very ackward imo.


It takes some pratice, but once you get good it becomes one of the best sidearms in the game.  Maybe that's why they are nerfing it.  Almost no penalty for carrying it (+20 in cooldown), useful on any build, staggers every human sized enemy except dragoons, and it's completely destroys shields and barriers. 

Oh well, I've been favoring the scoprion more lately anyway.


Once strapped a heavy barrel on it as an experiment kept my KroSoldiers CD at 200% easily. I really don't like how the gun fires. Even after they took the charge out. There's also the annoying delay to reloading it. I'm kinda OCD about keeping my guns reloaded so I reload almost after every shot.

Not being able to reload immediately with the Acolyte just pisses me off and makes me never pick the gun. Petty, but that's my number 1 reason why I didn't bother learning the slow firing thing with it. I bring a shotgun with adepts anyway.


I'm actually the same way with the Acolyte; I don't reload every shot, but I do at least half the time, and between the reload delay and the delay between shots, I get pretty frustrated firing the gun. Great weapon though.


Can't wait for the Saber and Valkyrie buffs!!! :o

 Strange... you'd think that the devs would be lining up on the internet to post in those threads when they're populated by so many frothing at the mouth people posting in all caps using simulated vulgar language to get by the filter.

Becuse they have an answer.
They are probably still investigating the Huntress TC thing and don't want to comment on it until they have something productive to say.

NICE! i have been hoping for a Valk buff.  i'd like to start using this AR more than i have been.
also, glad to hear that just the stim pack is getting tweaked because it won't affect my playstyle with the TGI.

That's cool, just please don't take the fun out of the Acolyte and stim-packs.

You guys have been pretty awesome with this, with just a handful of exceptions (sabotage, decoy, and krysae).

I know that some things are a balancing nightmare, but if you could more or less solve the tactical cloak balance problem, I'm sure that you can balance stim packs without nerfing them into oblivion like the krysae, decoy, and sabotage.

(If those powers and weapons could get some love at some point - perhaps a debuff/shield drain/tech primer for the decoy, more tech vulnerability for sabotage, stronger sabotage vs mechs, and less gimped fire-rate for the krysae - I'd be a happy panda)

Read it's description:
Designed for asari resistance, the Acolyte's barrels fire advanced ammunition similar to that of an impact-triggered resonant warp bomb, which has a devastating effect on shields and biotic barriers. The specialized nature of the warp field means it does not pierce armor as effectively, but the shooter's biotics are expected to make up for this shortcoming.

Like said, it's a shield killer. It is mediocre against enemies with health and completely useless against armored opponents. Besides it has a small clip (only 3 shots) and ridiculously slow ROF.

I just hope that the coming changes don't throw it in the same casket with M-37 Falcon and Krysae. From useful to useless, from hero to zero.<_<

Don't doubt the Falcon. It has a reliable stagger and is great with ammo powers.

If it must be nerfed i hope it will get 1 shot instead of 3. I've always used this gun (and i supposed this was the goal) as a way to balance the classes.
Drells and Asari Justicar with Pull or the Quarian female engineer with the cold skill (or more in general those characters which are supposed to do most of their job using powers), they find harder use in gold and platinum where non-protected enemies are less common.
With 1 shot insted of 3 you would still be able to handle the smaller units while slowing the process with the bosses.

I mean....(now, let's not being the discussion about "eh, you should play that character so and so instead of so".....this is not the matter)...if i take the Asari Justicar with the Acolyte and suddenly while playing i found in front of myself a phantom, it's alredy hard to find the time to use the acolyte and the use pull...
If we're not lucky enough and they reduce the % damage vs shields/barriers, in that same event, am i supposed to do 2 acolyte shots instead of 1 before pull? With its fire rate?!? And with the phantom cannon firepower ?!?

*sighs* Let's hope well.

Wish people would get off this kick that this gun is mandatory for casters. It should be nerfed. When any weapon can 2-3 shot a Phantom on Gold, geeeeeeez.

I'm into you guys fiddling with weapons and stuff but I'd rather see some of the enemies tweaked. Maybe next round? Or is that stuff harder to do? Either way, thanks for keeping MP dynamic and fun!
