We also have a small Valkyrie buff this week, but just to warn everyone we also have a small nerf to the Acolyte and one to the Stimulant Pack power since after some testing and feedback we've concluded that they are too powerful.

Good choice:)

We don't want to hit the Havoc too hard so we're compensating by buffing Havoc Strike.

My money was on increased range by 5 yards and increased base damage by 50.

Hope they don't pillage stim pack too much for the havok's sake. Honestly 2k shields instead of 4k fully spec'd would be more balanced than the current "I win button" it is now.

Acolyte is just plain overpowered, a slower RoF or significant damage nerf is in order.

The Acolyte was already awesome when it still had its charging mechanic. When the mechanic got removed, then it was overpowered. So stupid. Stupid missile glitchers.

Edit: The only reason the Acolyte became mainstream was because the charging mechanic was removed. I doubt it would've been this popular had the mechanic been kept.

Good to hear, but if we aren't talking 50% or more of a damage buff or significantly more invulnerability frames havok strike will still be very lack luster (and more suicidal then ever).

Rarely ever use either character so it makes little difference to me in the end, very excited about the acolyte nerf, it was getting a little out of control that nearly every class and every kit was most efficient when using it.

Forget my last post.

Why don't you just re-instigate the charge up mechanic for it?

Removing the charge up did nothing to prevent the missile glitch, and allowed the acolyte to become the staple pistol everyone uses for every build on every kit and every class.

I think if you added the charge up again, people would think twice before taking it on every character like has rapidly become the norm since you removed its charge up period.

I'd like to see them go halfway. Give it the old charge-up time for maximum damage, but if it's not fully charged let it shoot at severely reduced damage (let's say 25%). Removing the charge-up time without touching the damage at all was a major goof, but making it unable to fire without full charge-up felt cumbersome IMO.

Really looking forward to the Saber buff. It's an excellent weapon, but the PPR and Harrier outclass it in the UR AR department. The Typhoon seems to be debatable for a lot of people after the nerfs since it gets so much hate, but I think the Typhoon comes out ahead.

I hope the Acolyte nerf is only to its damage to health/armor and not to shields/barriers. It was only a matter of time before they nerfed it after removing the charge mechanic. Damn missile glitchers ruin yet another aspect of this game.

How long did it take to get confirmation on Blade Armor?  My guess is if it is broken they will want to fully test it first and will just stay quiet about it until then.

I don't think that is possible without a patch, unfortunately.

That is actually a really great idea though, have its shield / barrier multiplier based on how long its charged for. So 1.0 seconds nets you the full 500%, firing instantly doesnt give any multiplier, and everything in between.

Yes, we appreciate your attention to this forum :)   Now if you could create an equipment pack that just has gun rails and/or Cyclonic Modulars in it......

Honestly, I'm kinda bummed about the changes to the Havoc, but I certainly appreciate the effort to save it from the Ghost nerf crossfire. My Havoc is specced out of Havoc Strike, so it'll just be a straight nerf for my preferred build.

Is Havoc Strike in tomorrow's changes, or for the near future?

It will be in tomorrow.

Eric, you're awesome.

How long have you been thinking about buffing the Havoc? Or is it only due to the Stimpack nerf?

Reinstating the chargeup mechanic is good enough of a nerf, it should never have been removed. If it hadn't, it would have remained a hipster weapon "outclassed in every way by the scorpion" as people used to say at its time of release.
If they make it too weak to knock down a marauder's, centurions, or other mid-tiered mooks shields they will make builds that this weapon opened up obsolete once more.

Unfortunately Eric if you nerf the ass out of stimpack, then it won't matter how hard havoc strike hits or how fast you can perform it, the poor havoc will be DoA due to no shields.

Havoc strike needed a force and damage buff anyway!
