There is a local game file full of things in it, however.
Whenever you log in, your game pulls a new file out of the multiplayer server, that is updated with the balance changes. It's a pretty smart way of doing this.

The only way I've been able to one-shot a barrier-less phantom on gold is with GI spec'd full weapon damage on top of three stacks of prox-mines.

Disappointed about the stim pack nerf though I can see why they did it. Still, hope it doesn't get hit too hard.

I was beginning to think the Acolyte needed a nerf when I found I was equipping it to just about every character I play with.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better myself.  There's really no other reason to want yourself and your squad to be less effective in a co-op game.

50% damage buff really? They can't change invincibility frames with balance changes I don't think. It can't have more. They last as long as the animation which is fairly long. I'd barely call it suicidal with a stimpacks too.


I play almost exclusivly on platinum difficulty, if you think Havok strike hasn't been suicidal (guess you could charge a mook or two with it) without stim pack you must be playing bronze.

Again the acolyte is used by at least 50% of every player on nearly every kit I run across in gold/plat, no it's not OP at all :whistle: I'm sure stripping a platinum banshee's shields in 3 hits and killing a phantom in the same (health included) is balanced as well :blink:

Bioware don't make changes off of people's whining. If that was true, the Harrier would have been nerfed long ago.

I agree. I would like to see the shield/barrier damage remain roughly the same (perhaps a very small nerf but meh) but to have the gun do nearly 0 damage to health/armor. It's damage to health + its crowd control and utility is just too much as is.

Adept - Fck yeah

i could handle them just taking the acolytes health damage away because i only want it for shield stripping. i use my powers for health/armour. i still dont like nerfs. its just party pooping to me. its likeeverytime i find a weapon/power combo i enjoy they come along and nerf it. it feels almost like they dont want me to enjoy the game no more.
