DAA: Takes place in a province
DA2: Takes place in a city
DA3: Takes place in a street?
Sure they say that it will be all of Thedas or many countries, but ME3 was supposed to have 16 endings and all that other crap. Thoughts?

DA3: takes place in a city, and some various other places like in DA2, only with less focus on the city itself, and more the area in and around it.

The PC will do nothing but sit on a throne all day and decide where to send his/her forces and who to execute.
(Wait, I'd actually play that.)

So your so-called pattern is already broken. Honestly. These boards are ridiculous sometimes.

Thats kind of what DA2 was, wasnt it? There were the mines, the elf camp and all that crap.

Gimme Master of Orion 3 skinned in DA and I would so play the hell out of that.

+1. I play almost exclusively male characters, so this works for me! He can tell my inquisitor how he once slept with the Champion and compare notes and complain about Fenris.

This is trolling. There's a thought. This is going to get locked down. There's another. Enjoy your thread while it lasts.

You can't use DA:A as a data point as it is an expansion and not a full fledged game. DA2 can also be descibed as taking place in a City-State and not a City.

That sounds like a really fun game if truth be told.

I expect smaller world then DA:O but still much larger then Kirkwall and more open to exploration. EA greedy execs surely drooled at Skyrim's success and there will be pressure on developers to be more like it. Just like ME team was pressured to CODify the game.
However with Bioware these days - nobody can predict anything. This is why i will wait to see what this game is really about after it is out.
