Childhood is years of pre-13, so:
Toki, Sonic series, Golden Axe 3, Doom 1&2, Monkey Island, Mortal Kombat 3, North & South, Unreal, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Civilization 2, Starcraft, Sim City 2000, Prince of Persia, Hercules, Age of Empires 1&2, GTA 1, Worms 2, Hunter Hunted, Gods, Lemmings, etc.

The list above shows that I didn't know any RPG at my childhood.

Oh, wow, this thread makes me remember just how freaking old I really am.

Let's see...my first games were Pong, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Battlezone, etc., and most of which could only be played at an 'Arcade'. Some of you may not be familiar with what that is, but I'm confident you can Google it. Hehe.

Otherwise, I was a master fort-builder and bike-rider.

I am conveying that I am freaking old because I actually played outside as a child. Remember outside? Blue sky. The big bright yellow glowing ball called the Sun. Yeah. Good times.

Bike riding! Hell yeah. Never had a fort though. Didn't need one. Had hills and ravines. Not to mention, horses and of course, my dogs. Jake and Sam. Good fellows they were. I used to like to strap packs to the dogs. They were cute. I learned pretty quickly that in order to have a two dog snow sledding team, you need snow. That's a must.

^ We build forts *within* the ravines and hills. Basically, we would dig a foundation, and would drag whatever logs or discarded wood we'd find to build walls, and we'd deck the place out. Sometimes the fort would be our secret hideout; at other times, our pirate ship.

In the winter, we'd don our snowmobile suits and moon boots, and we'd transform the snow pile in front of our house (we were at the end of a street) into a slide. But before you scoff at our lack of imagination, imagine a group of kids digging a tunnel inside the pile, and pouring water just perfectly, to allow it to freeze and become a super slick surface. Childhood rocked.

But yeah..."outside" seems like a foreign concept these days.

Lol. This is a video game forum. And I would build forts, dig holes, throw snow at cars, etc. etc.

I remember playing outside. I still enjoy being outside. Up until the Christmas after I turned 7, I spent most of my time outside because I lived in a fairly traditional neighborhood with a dozen kids my age on my street, and another dozen friends from school within a block or two. I could safely walk to a friend's house and do whatever. After that Christmas, though, I moved from a town just outside of Philly to a development a half hour north that felt more country than suburb. 2-3 people on my street, no sidewalks besides my cul-de-sac, miles to my nearest friend's house. It all made games like tag and hide-and-seek kind of hard. Video games (which I thought were the point of this thread originally) were about all me and my brothers had left until I was in high school and could actually drive to go hang out with someone.

People aren't that old here are they?
Battlefront wasn't that long ago, it had online so I guess it was last gen.
That game was seriously awesome though.
