Without a doubt, I was a fan of the Sierra hey-day games of Point N' Click adventures.
https://encrypted-tb...sGRQ8-bnw9glSmg
https://encrypted-tb...28f48nbaHc73nhw
https://encrypted-tb...RoUjFE2NdWjIpOA
And then, of course, the SNES RPG greats, like
https://encrypted-tb...Xh8IQI7S5xKjW1Q
https://encrypted-tb...pgqS6qDltgd1MZr
The great PC games as well...
https://encrypted-tb...7EX2qStJ5xkEhDE
https://encrypted-tb...fSexW9ZOB0-0gz0
https://encrypted-tb...wypxAcT_0gP4qVw
But what REALLY takes me back... what I think of when I imagine my first video game experiences, are these two games:
https://encrypted-tb...M25RUJZVCxKPAUQ
https://encrypted-tb...rySLNrjWy8X7AnA
The first is an old game for the Odyssey console game system (yes, it was a real console. Think an Atari... but for poor people!) where you played blackjack.
https://encrypted-tb...-3s8W9Nz5hbrk1Q
It was the most simple graphics imaginable, but my Dad taught me how to play Blackjack before I was even in kindergarten using it, so it was pretty memorable. Our family was always big into card games and this was one of my first memories of my Dad sitting me down and teaching me something.
The other game was an adventure game that mirroed the events in the book Swiss Family Robinson.
https://encrypted-tb...e2MvEVZ86c2P2dJ
https://encrypted-tb...-FpGPsY9OhTLahT
You were stranded on an island and you had to save enough food for the typhon winter months while trying to keep alive from the dangers on the island. This was one of the hardest games in the history of mankind (at least, to my childhood memory) and it was really rewarding when you finally figured out the exact right sequence of actions to keep everyone alive and see the end of the game.
When I think about my first video game memories, those pop out, ahead of even games like Mario, Zelda or Metroid, which would show up later.
The more I think about it, the more I am realizing how much video games have played into a big part of my life. Kind of crazy to think about.

I gotta go with every game we had for our Snes. Metroid, Harvest Moon, Super Mario All-Stars, Kirby's Dream Course and a bunch of others. Oh, and of course, also our Gameboy games; most notably, Mega Man IV.

Hmm, the games that defined my childhood were:
On the Nintendo 64:
The Legend of Zeld: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
On the PC:
Black & White
Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2
I still love these games up to today. <3<3<3

Mario Kart 64. Oh god, that was awesome. My friends and I would spend hours playing each other. Starfox 64 to.
And how the hell could I forget the first Halo. Hooking up 2 or three x-boxes and going nuts with my friends. great times.

Yeah, many hours was spent having fun playing Mario Kart 64. Multiplayer wise, or just overall my childhood was N64 and SNES dominated, for good reason. I had some great Mega Drive and PS1 games but none of the were really highlights of my childhood compared. (Minus for a few exceptions)

So many hours spent on that game as a youngster. I loved the first and the second one as well as all of the expansions.
Okay, that's it. I am going to go see if I can get that to run on Windows 7.
