I am currently watching a youtube video depicting all the banter from MotA and I must say this: this banter system is absolutely brilliant. It seems as though the banter is not just written in one way, it's written acustomed to the player's choices and situation. It's amazing. I love it. For example, there is a banter between Merrill and Carver on the topic of Wyverns. If Merrill is not romanced  by Hawke, Carver failingly tries to make a pass. If Merrill is romanced by Hawke, Carver will make a reference to their relationship.

I just love watching these videos. I hope that in DA3:I the banter is at least parallel to this type of banter, or maybe even improved upon- if there is such a way. :)

Man the banter in DA does so much to develop the characters in great ways. The lines between Isabella and Aveline are some of the best in the game

Would be a nice plus, but not really necessary. The problem is, it would mean even more dialogue since now they´d have to also write answer lines for the companions. Therefore, I´d rather see variety (that is, banter in several sitations, instead of fewer but that can be interacted with). It´s all a matter of taste, really.

Moar, never less. I desire so much party banter that I can do five consecutive playthroughs or more and still hear new lines.

I want so much banter that I am drowning in it! And a lot more trigger points. Would run back and forth through orzammer to get all the banter and the same in Kirkwall. Banter is one of my favourite things about dragon age. It always leaves me wanting more.

For me banter ought to be fleshed out a bit more too, so that you can hear/see similar when in camp, or at similar "down points" too.

The Camp scenes with Dog are a good example of this, and it'd be nice to see things like a drink competition between Sten & Ogrhim, or Morigan having to borrow some knickers from Leliana etc.

Why am I even getting my hopes up though? *prepares to mash button and select "paragon" option at begining of game*

Banter is absolutely the best part of Dragon Age in my opinion.

I didn't even realize at first how smart the system was. I wonder how difficult it is for the writers to write them.

I love the banter to the extent I always stop my PC moving around an area just to listen in without distraction. It is one of my favourite things about the game. Some of it just makes me laugh! If there was more of it in DA3 it would really make my day.

Agree. Banter is one of the best things. I was playing not too long ago and a banter started just before entering combat. They just continued talking right through the battle. It was actually pretty funny.

Whoever comes up with the banter is a brilliant wo/man and should be rewarded a Witty Medal. Which is A LOT more witty looking than it sounds. xp

Oh, and I have to say. I have actually chosen party members based on who I hadn't heard talk to each other yet.

tbh id prefer to be able to commit top a LI earlier in the game and have it develop more through the game than have more banter options, just a personnal preference though

I always stop my Character so I can listen to the party banter, between the two party members. Some of the best banter was between Aveline and Isabela. Whenever they talked, you would know that Isabela would turn the conversation dirty, and then Aveline would end it with her famous, "Shut up...(fill in blank)"

In DA:O I changed people and ran from hotspot to hotspot just to hear everything. They need lots more of this for background and news about what's really going on in your party, and what they really think of you.Banter is fun.

There was a ridiculous amount of quality banter in DA:O. That bartender in Lothering went on forever and it was great.

I appreciate when they incorporate group interaction into the more narrative or interactive parts of the game.

The back and forths we get just walking around the city can be interesting, and quite humorous depending on who's talking, but it's a shame how they can be cut off unless I stop what I'm doing and stand still for thirty seconds.

Or better yet Leliana dragging Morrigan off to shop in the Denerim market with Morrigan screaming for you to save her. Posted Image

I'm surprised at this too. I was thinking at least one person was going to disagree with me to an extent

I think I do remember seeing a post once where someone said they didn't want banter at all. I nearly fell of my chair. Why would you not love it?:P
