[Grimwald the Wise]

There are a number of items introduced by mods such as Dark Horizons that have the proficiencies labelled as per vanilla BG1. i.e. Large Sword or Small Sword. I am wondering how the proficiency points work with such items. I tried examining them using Shadowkeeper, but was unable to export them.

In a similar vein, if you send the party in the training room at Candlekeep (with Obe) to The Friendly Arms Inn, and get them to rejoin your party there, they still have the BG1 proficiencies. You cannot use Shadowkeeper to change them to BG2 proficiencies.

Presumably if those characters are given items from Dark Horizons there is no problem, but how do their proficiency points work if given Tutu items?

One of the items from Dark Horizons is a cutlass. If it were a BG2 item, would that be in the scimitar category or something else?

Since a cutlass is a short curved blade like a scimitar it would probably fall under that heading.
