Hi guys, I have long completed the Golem quest to get Shale and used him in a number of quests and had a lot of conversations with him. Now all of a sudden as I started questing in Orzamar I can not speak to him anymore. Everytime I try to talk to him the speach menu from the town where you find him pops up and you can say the control rod word or leave him alone. After I end the converstation the graphic of the environment is gone and I have to reload. I can not start the personal Shale quest in the underroads. Happens every time and everywhere (Camp, Orzamar, etc.). I already updated to the latest paych but still the same problem. Please help ... Thanks in advance.

Same here. When I try to talk to Shale in the camp, the "graphics is gone" happens immediately. There is no way to revert that except loading a savegame.

At some point while you were playing the game lost track of the state of your DLC. Symptoms are these problems with Shale, or DLC weapons and armor disappearing. If you make a save while you are in that state it preserves the error in that save and any following save.
The best fix is, if the error wasn't introduced to far back, is exit to the main menu, verify that the DLC is enabled and authorized, and then load a save where it was working before.
If there is no save, or its to far back in terms of game progress, then there are console commands that can fix the issue. This thread has a good rundown of what you would need to do with the developer's console to fix corrupted DLC saves.
