I know there's been many threads about the acolyte but I think that nothing encouraged it's nefing more than Caineghis's 4 platinum solos with it alone. No worship or acknowledgment here I'm just saying. I know he's good at what he does but I believe the acolyte contriuted heavily to his success.

That's why they're called balance changes, peeps. When Bioware sees the usage of a weapon or power shoot way up, they try to rebalance the game, so everyone doesn't end up using the same kit all the time.

Just look at this from different angle:
Instead of Acolyte you may use anything with Phasic Rounds. You'll still have your shield devastation, but not other bonuses like Incendiary\\Warp\\Whatever.
Nothing really bad has happened, but now all casters won't have IWIN button.

Fun Fact: every time Caineghis plays, there is literally hundreds if not thousands other games. Every time he sleeps, there is another hundred/thousands game ongoing. Except server downtime, there is probably not a single minute when no one is playing.
And BioWare has all the data. If they are nerfing it, it's because they have data that staggering percentage of those thousands games features Acolyte either as main weapon or main sidearm. Not because one guy with maxed manifest was able to pull off some solo games. And especially not if this guy is Caineghis, aka the person who specializes in solo runs.

Soooo what about all his other solos that are not Acolyte focused? This call out was truly unnecessary and I would look at all the posts that outright call out the Acolyte nerf with 4 plus pages with nonsensical reasons. (No I won't call them out since its an easy search).
If you were going to point fingers then this should have been a list of people who have posted about this nerf not calling out one guy who really doesn't support nerfs at all. I'm sure this news about the Acolyte will dishearten him as much as it did me. I'm still going to wait to see what the change is before judging but just knowing there's a nerf is dissapointing.
