But seriously.  They're nerfing because it is over used, and pretty Op in itself.   Not becuase Caineghis soloed a platinum with it. (Even though Flamer was the main destoyer) Honestly, I hope they just keep it the same against shields, but lower it's health and armor damage severely.

I'm personally on the fence about this issue, although I'm not entirely sure how they decide what is going to be nerfed/buffed.
If it's based upon how much it's used in Gold/Plat then I can see why their doing it, since now it's the standard side arm for almost any class since they removed the charge-up mechanic.
However, if it's based upon forums, then you can't fully blame him, seeing as how everyone and their mother who posts any kind of Plat solo or Gold/Cerb game has it now, so technically, everyone who's done that, or commented on taking is to blame. It all depends on how you look at it, honestly and how they actually decide what's getting nerfed/buffed, seeing as how we truly don't know their exact methods.

Also; I'm amazed this thread hasn't been locked yet since it's origin was to flame someone, kinda interesting to me honestly.

The Acolyte really isn't OP. Slow rate of fire, slow to reach target, bad against Armor. It's a great weapon, but it really doesn't deserve any special consideration for a nerf. If it gets nerfed, it will be made useless.

I honestly think they could nerf it by 50% and it would still be popular. Maybe if they add some weight to it that would stop it.

We were using it on platnium way before they removed the charge and we always thanked our lucky stars the general masses thought the gun sucked. After they removed the charge I knew it was a bad move. Gun is so easy to use now. I just aim at the ground and it always hits my target and with a damage boost included

Who cares what people do in the videos that they shamefully spam in these forums, somebody solo'd platinum with a volus adept so should that be nerfed too? No.
And I doubt they bioware staff closely watch the videos that people post here unless they are showcasing bugs or things that need fixing - not people desperately trying to get views for their own videos.

It sure was, I used to use it a lot with the justicar and the old human adept when it had its charge up mechanic, its a royal shame that they removed the charge and are now decreasing its usefulness all because of ****** missile glitchers ... I would rather them fix the missile glitch and return it to the glory days when it had its charge and not 'everybody' used it.

Completely defeating the purpose of the gun.  Weight would just keep the non-powerrs reliant classes using it, which is the entire dang problem in the first place.

This term, 'stardusking' is going much too far yo. Why single out Stardusk like this anyway? He generally makes great posts and his videos are helpful. give the guy some credit, he made a good vid about Krogan Shaman for instance using a Graal.

edit: Granted, I don't read every post on BSN. So perhaps some anger has been built up over time???

I bash the people who only seem to post on these forums to increase traffic to their youtube channels, I got better at the game through somebodys channel who never ever self promotes here and I searched online for gameplays, thats how to get genuine viewers not by posting and bumping your videos all the time in this forum, I don't know if you do this a lot but I see it every single day on here groups of people promoting their own videos - A sub forum for videos is needed.

And I dont see how you soloing a platinum is going to help me, showing good team synergy would seem like a better idea.

Also you guys can only seem to take a joke when you make it. When someone makes a joke at YOUR expense you get so so offended.

EDIT- If anyone thinks Stardusk's guide is the reason the gun is getting nerfed that's just false. I thought that was obvious. 

Edit2- I mean Cains guide. Actually ANY guide is not a reason anything get's nerfed. Pretty sure it's from this thing called "Data" BW can get their hands on.

Granted, on one hand a solo video may seem self-indulgent or bragging. However, think about this for a second. Sure, most of us play with a full team (I know I usually do). But what happens if the other 3 get sync killed? Now you have to 'clutch' the wave. This is when soloing skills come in handy. If you understand the spawns, you can pull them away from the objectives. Then you run back to finish up the device undisturbed.

This is how I extract all the time. I know this is selfish. But when Wave 11 comes around and I see people bunched up at one spot and they are getting overrun I just bail and run around the map. Then I run to the LZ and get an easy extraction. I think my tactics pissed off the host last night and she quit the lobby. But that's just how I roll I gotta get my creds at any cost. If we were talking on the mic I would have told her. 

Anyway, Upinya Slayin has described to me on this forum how spawns work. I sent him a friend request because he understands this game well and I want to get better. Anyway! If I saw this Caingehis fellow ingame I'd try to play with him and learn more from him too

Maybe it helps people that want to solo? Or maybe it helps those who play as a team understand how to deal with individual enemies and how their AI operates when there isn't so much other powers and weapon's fire?

In any case, WTF is going on with the moderators? How in the hell is this thread still open when it blatantly is out of hand? Anything fun but even slightly off topic is "End of the Line" spam but this flamefest is allowed to continue?
