2. cooler looking light or cloth, medium armor, (why is massive armor the best looking?)
Agree with you on that, also more different ones, most of the cloth items you could buy/find where never as good as the ones the cloth companions came with.

4. a Morrigan outfit that doesn't make her look like she's from the 80's (not that I have anything wrong w/ the 80's)
No I hope IF they do bring her back (or anyone else for that matter) that they wont change them at all! Its always annoying when some companion or character returns in a new version / expansion of a game and you have to find out by their name its them. Besides I like her ragged clothes and the fact that she can have a hissy fit about maids asking her if she needs a change of clothes...

What's the collective think?
Isn't there something like that already in the Wardens Keep DLC?
My personal (minor) feature wishlist for Awakening/DLC:
- Invidivual Companion Hold/FreeMove setting, often you want your melee/tank to continue moving towards enemies but you want your ranged to stay at a certain point, individual hold settings would allow for this.
- Allow helmets to be hidden (by preference on a per companion/player basis), often helmets provide nice stats but they might not look very nice or hide the way a character/companion looks this option would "fix" that.
- Allow the ears of elves to be bend outward a little. It seems the ears of the NPC elves like Shianni seem to have their ears bend outwards a little which makes them more visible and get less overshadowed by the hairstyles.
- One-Handed Swords / Axes (As in one-handed weapons that can be used in either main/off-hand).
- Some more random replies from Romancing companions, for example kissing Morrigan in the party while Alistair is there always prompts the same dialogue.
It would also be nice if there where some more things you could do in a romance besides kissing and sleeping with them, things like a "spent time with", "Give the best part of your meat to", "Give Flowers", "Make Breakfast for" etc options or at the very least more conversation options even after you've had all their standard conversation. A relationship/romance is more than kissing and sleeping with one another.
- A few more cinematics for minor stuff would also be appreciated just to make you feel part of the story even more, for example Morrigans leaving after the final battle is just illustrated by her not being in the epilogue, it would be nice to see a short cinematic of her leaving and perhaps if you romanced her she could give you a short sad look over her shoulder when she's leaving.
Another example was being invited to stay over for dinner with Shianni who goes off to buy some bottles of wine if you agreed after which you cant find her again and you just have to leave the alienage, in essence leaving her with the wine she just bought especially for you when she already doesnt have much money.
- I also found it a shame that not all lets call them sexual encounters have a small cinematic like sleeping with one of your companions do, and that the companion ones only played the first time you slept with them.
Finally my 2 cents about who I think the returning companion will be... Personally I hope and believe it will be Morrigan, the reason for this is that she is the only companion that doesn't have a true ending and looking at the way her part in the current story played out, it feels very much as if it was written with the expansion (or at the very least AN EXPANSION) in mind.
If you consider all other companions and especially the romancing ones every companion has a happy ending and gets more or less closure except Morrigan. She also appears to be the only character that is truly forced on you, even if you sent her away from the very first minute she re-appears before the final battle and is the only character you could never say goodbye to at the epilogue because she was already gone.
Of course this doesn't mean she HAS to be the companion. Even considering I am right about the fact that they wrote Morrigans part in the story with an expansion in mind they could also use these preparations in Awakening and make her return as a cameo instead of THE old favorite companion.
In any case I'm very much looking forward to the expansion and cant wait for more information to be released by Bioware...
