I'm wondering something. I had my human noble become queen consort to Alistair and I'm hoping the romance will carry over to Awakening. Anyone else curious about this?

I've a doubt... the way the expansion is going to affect the overall game is like Baal's Throne was to Diablo 2? For example, if we have the expansion pack installed and we start a new game can we for example use the new specializations in a human noble origin pre-awakening?

But I sure as hell wouldn't let my first ever character (dwarven girl) date anyone but Leliana. THAT is just unatural. I even recreated her and have a Home save to be able to replay her as much as I like.

Well, the epilogue speaks from things happening ''years'' later, so maybe it was meant literally ''with a child'.

It said "with child" which to my understaning refers to being pregnant. According to the interview on IGN, Awakening doesn't take place "years later". Only a few months after Origin, wich means Morrigan can't possibly have given birth. But then again she is magical and stranger things have happened. Maria Magdalena...

I meant nothing special... and of course I did not intend say something who could outrage anyone.. Maybe someone may have misunderstood what I wrote due to my poor English. I apologize for this but I'm not able to write as native-speaker.. So I will try to expain you what I meant.

I ALWAYS choosed to play into RPG using Femal characters because I found them prettier than male characters. However my brain is a male brain, so I was never able to romance male companions with my characters... and I will never able.. Maybe this is a limit of my person but it's so !

Now all I was meaning were only this: I am not able to romance male companion, Morrigan is a etero sexual character, the only opportunity for me was Leliana (and I loved deeply that romance..I'm pretty sure that also if Morrigan were romancable I would choose 100% Leliana) so I don't know if other romances are deeper or emotional as Leliana's Romance... and I can't judge if they are better or worse.. This is the only thing I was meaning...

I have a question that I need some speculation on. I have looked through all the devs answers as far as what they have posted. I know you can upload any save in Awakening. My question pertains to any saves after the epilogue. Will the after epilogue saves be counted as finishing the game since these saves are stated to take place right before the final battle? I know they allow you to go through and revisit DLC locations. Will they reflect ending the game or will the only way to be able to do that is load the epilogue? Thanks for any answers official/unofficial anyone can reply with.

Reading them I realized the final saves will reflect the end of the game... (I made another save just 1 second before the game ended just to be sure of this and I will load this one in Awakening )
You may play DLC because they were (or will be) realized after the game was released... So if you play DLC after you finished the campaing you may consider it as a "flashback"
I think the only thing where they may influence the xpac, depending on you play them before or after the final save, is about the equpiment...

So European retailers are already listing the PC and 360 versions of Awakening, however the PS3 version is nowhere in sight.



Does that mean it's getting delayed in Europe? Or that it's not getting released there at all?

This topic has been under huge debate/speculation. I just cannot image how Bioware could put in a story line as large as this and not carry it over into the expansions. It is less about just a romance with Alistair but about uniting both the Couslands (one the most powerful Noble families in Ferelden) and the remaining Theirin on the throne, if you marry Alistair.  I am very interested to see what transpires in future expansions with this storyline, I just truly hope they go somewhere with it.

I wonder if anyone actually liked Oghren, all he did was drink, fall over, stated he was drunk, made remarks about drinking and fall over again... personally I thought he was the worst and most shallow companion in the game, so I still hope its not him and just a look-a-like... However he was one of the few characters that was left in the shortlist of possibles, so it wouldn't be unlikely.

Ok.. If you look carefully you may see he appears at 0:11 but at 0:15 he is no longer in party and there is another character ... So I think:
1) The trailer may be done as they were in development so maybe they had not finished the new companions yet, so they were using old or standard characters..
2) During his IGN interview Melo said that all the things concerning party and returning companion are top-secret.. Do you really think that if they wanted keep secret all these things they would give us a great spoiler like this ??

I kind of liked him, IMO a RPG just needs a drunken, mean dwarf berserker. However, he wouldnt be my first choice for the secret companion for DAA.
