yup it's Oghren.
And no romance options for the rest of us that were twiddling our thumbs wondering. So if you want your character to have a tumble, do it in Origins as there is no such shenanigans in the expansion (Chantry must of had their say on it

Alistair was my favourite, I also liked Wynn and Leliana those 2 were my characters best friends.
I liked dog as well. The others I don't really care what happens to them. Morrigan was a cow, Sten I recruited with my human but never liked him, Zevran I guess ok, Oghren sort of ok, Shale I quite liked but couldn't stand her voice.
I thought Alistair would be the likely choice as he's a very popular character and I thought that he would be the most likely to want to come and help rebuild the wardens.
I'll miss the romance options, but I also play a game for the adventure and story. Iam not entirely sure if I want to play awakening now, I think I'll wait a while and read what others say on it once it comes out.

I just hope that Bioware does not dissapoint and not include all the plot choices we made in the Oragin story. It would be quite the let down. I made several playthroughs with different endings in anticipation of an expansion/continuation.
'Quite the let down' is quite the understatement. My elven arcane warrior had Alistair executed because she hated him, so him popping up in Awakening would be quite the surprise for her... a definite wtf situation.

Actually, I just read you can kill everyone! You can kill dog instead of putting the muzzle on him at Ostagar, you can tell Morrigan you won't help her kill Flemeth, and Alistair can, of course, sacrifice himself or be executed.
I still think the dog should have had his proper boy parts.
Maybe the returning companion isn't anyone from the main party... Jowan would be coolBut that would make three mages out of six companions, counting Valenna and what's-his-face.
Umm... not if you start as a human noble, coz you start with a dog at Highever castle. Personally, I don't really like Oghren that much, nor Shale. She's going to Tevinter, anyway, and Wynne goes with her. It would be a wtf situation if you killed Oghren in origins and he turns up in awakening. If you can kill pretty much everyone in origins, it
makes it fairly difficult to say this guy's returning in awakening given that it possibly contradicts the promise that all choices made in origins will be reflected in awakening. I find the statement that there will be no romance options in awakening rather disappointing as for me it's one of the main draw cards with origins. I'm a longterm bioware rpg gamer - loved the romances in baldurs gate II, NWN etc.

And why would it not carry forward in Awakening? That makes no sense to me…
So if you see Alistair and are married to him there will be no reaction? Why then let you play as the same character at all? And are all the new NPC´s just there to back you up in battle? I mean I was slightly disappointed when you as a woman gamer had to settle to play the male story and did not get your own and that Alistair was the only male love interest if you did not want a boyfriend who had been around... a lot, but to take this fetcher away totally, well its sucks.
Then it is just another game a good one but I enjoyed that human aspect of the game the most. I would have liked to be able to have the noblemen in the game like for intense Ser Perth and Bann Tegan be able to court your female noble or the Ash Warrior, The elven shop keeper or any of the other males if you are from another origin and give Alistair a run for his money. (No offence and I like Alistair well enough but he is a weak male, he never fights for you, he is way to insecure for my taste I would like a more assertive male.) To have more of those options open would be optimal but to take away the few you hade, that is just going to bug me.
Maybe that is only me but I loved those choices in the game, I would play it for the human story if I could. I loved the political agenda off the nobles and I would not have cried if that part of the game grew and the dark spawn had to take the backseat for a while. You have splayed the arch demon it would be nice to be able to go with Zev to Antiva or Sten to Par Vollen and learn more about the world. Or if hade Loghain in your final party and Alistair left maybe you would like to search for him to convince him to come back.
Just my opinion don’t kill me ^^

How long is the game time and where is Sten? He was awesome. At first I hated him but now he is my favorite next to Alistar. Oh and whats the expected gametime?

Gaider has said that our PC's choices, including romances, will be "acknowledged" in some way. I understand the financial and practical issues with catering to every possible decision in DA:O in the expansion. That sort of thing was more possible in all of the old games such as BG because the voice acting wasn't an issue. Writers could make much larger stories with more possible outcomes when all the dialogue didn't need to be voiced. So yes, I understand it, and I'm sure there will be some story handwaving to explain it. Some are easier than others to handwave, but it's doable for what is essentially a side mission. It may be as simple as saying that your PC went ahead to prepare the keep and found him/herself with a much larger job than s/he anticipated. This isn't putting story first, as Bioware keeps claiming they do. It's caving to reality and handwaving the story to fit so that the franchise can continue. I'd rather have a nice big chunk of new story than get my knickers in a twist about it, or I will at least wait to get my knickers in a twist until I know just how well the handwaving is done.
So, they will "acknowledge" my PC's choices in some way; unless of course you played any DLC, including the DLC that shipped free with new games. So now my character hallucinated Shale and Avernus? Am I going to unlearn the abilities Avernus taught me, or just lose all the items? The two characters I have finished the game with along with their parties are pretty well decked out in DLC items, not because I'm a power gamer, but because it made the most sense in-character. Why wouldn't I put Allistair in Cailin's armor when I'm trying to put him on the throne? It isn't all that great as armor goes, but appearances matter and I wanted to put him on the throne. No, I didn't purchase the DLC just for the items, but the entire RtO quest was to get those items. That was the story! The tiny amount of additional backstory outside of the items could have been covered in a conversation or two.
Now I am having to metagame my remaining characters if I want to import them into this expansion with something more than their underwear. My characters would use some of the items. These are items, not fully voiced characters. If Bioware put so much anti-theft protection on the items that even they can't use them, it doesn't exactly speak well of their programming ability. I'm being penalized for spending extra money. It doesn't make sense to effectively shrink their market for future DLC either.
It's disappointing. I expect better from Bioware because they have historically been better. All the DLC with the exception of Stone Prisoner, which was originally part of the main game, has been extremely light on story. They are the ones who set the expectation that story line would be paramount. It's still a good game. These sorts of decisions combined with the mountains of unfixed, potentially game-breaking, glitches are keeping it from being the truly amazing game it could be.

Ha! Hopefully they'll add a scene where you are under a major siege, and are completely surrounded by the enemy with it raining in the background.
