Gaider has said that our PC's choices, including romances, will be "acknowledged" in some way. I understand the financial and practical issues with catering to every possible decision in DA:O in the expansion. That sort of thing was more possible in all of the old games such as BG because the voice acting wasn't an issue. Writers could make much larger stories with more possible outcomes when all the dialogue didn't need to be voiced. So yes, I understand it, and I'm sure there will be some story handwaving to explain it. Some are easier than others to handwave, but it's doable for what is essentially a side mission. It may be as simple as saying that your PC went ahead to prepare the keep and found him/herself with a much larger job than s/he anticipated. This isn't putting story first, as Bioware keeps claiming they do. It's caving to reality and handwaving the story to fit so that the franchise can continue. I'd rather have a nice big chunk of new story than get my knickers in a twist about it, or I will at least wait to get my knickers in a twist until I know just how well the handwaving is done.
So, they will "acknowledge" my PC's choices in some way; unless of course you played any DLC, including the DLC that shipped free with new games. So now my character hallucinated Shale and Avernus? Am I going to unlearn the abilities Avernus taught me, or just lose all the items? The two characters I have finished the game with along with their parties are pretty well decked out in DLC items, not because I'm a power gamer, but because it made the most sense in-character. Why wouldn't I put Allistair in Cailin's armor when I'm trying to put him on the throne? It isn't all that great as armor goes, but appearances matter and I wanted to put him on the throne. No, I didn't purchase the DLC just for the items, but the entire RtO quest was to get those items. That was the story! The tiny amount of additional backstory outside of the items could have been covered in a conversation or two.
Now I am having to metagame my remaining characters if I want to import them into this expansion with something more than their underwear. My characters would use some of the items. These are items, not fully voiced characters. If Bioware put so much anti-theft protection on the items that even they can't use them, it doesn't exactly speak well of their programming ability. I'm being penalized for spending extra money. It doesn't make sense to effectively shrink their market for future DLC either.
It's disappointing. I expect better from Bioware because they have historically been better. All the DLC with the exception of Stone Prisoner, which was originally part of the main game, has been extremely light on story. They are the ones who set the expectation that story line would be paramount. It's still a good game. These sorts of decisions combined with the mountains of unfixed, potentially game-breaking, glitches are keeping it from being the truly amazing game it could be.

big flashy with an awkward alistair fumbling all over his words lol and if anora is the blushing bride it will be more of following orders rather than a wedding lol

well in the dialogue at the end it says that we rule together defeat the darkspawn and never leave eachothers side so they could have alot of adventures together

Speaking of pregnant, I wonder how the offspring of two grey wardens would turn out? What about a half-tainted child?
I admit I had a bit of a laugh when I first noticed in the love scenes that the females have a bit of a camel-toe going on down there...and yet there are no tell-tale 'sock' bulges on the males. :innocent:

Acknowledged? Yes, obviously my PC will be the only one in Awakening that will be aware that she married Alistair and became Queen. Apparently, Alistair will be unaware.
