Fernando: Melo: We're going to keep most of the details under wraps so we can unveil them, but their writing comes from the same folks that wrote Origins. Very interesting personalities all over again -- it seems that's what we thrive on, and personally, I really enjoy the party members in Awakening a lot more. You have everything from foil characters that are there for comic relief and banter all the way to characters that have more sexual tension with other party members. It's kind of humorous to follow their attempts. There's definitely going to be a lot of richness to the characters you meet.

I'm just so distraught over the whole thing. I did not actually own a dog prior to Dragon Age, and I certainly didn't expect the people I bought said dog from would one day return and murder him for no apparent reason. I named him Rabbit because that's what they said his name was...........

THey probably cooked him and ate him. The name makes sense now.....

for anyone who has never had Wynn and Zev in their party together, DO IT! it's a ****** for the banter!!

I think they mean sexual tension between the party members - and while that's entertaining, I don't think they can expect players to be as emotionally invested (and yes, I mean this on a game level, not Real Life Heartache) - as when it involves the character *you* designed at the creation screen. The tension that interested me happened between my mage and Alastair - maybe between my alt pc & Zevran, in the 'wut??? you think I'm handsome??? huh!' dialogue. The tension came from being the antithesis of a templar, feared & intriguing, & vice versa. It's just not that thrilling to have two NPCs with those characteristics. Yes, Morrigan is sexy (like Zevran) - but she's not *my* idea of sexy (I saw her as cynic-goth-girl, which had its charms, but didn't strike me as all that romantic or erotic, despite the obvious intention). So I can enjoy the Oghren-Felsi romance - think it's cute, etc, I can speculate about other pairings - but it won't keep me playing. I can see that in any television show, movie. (I hate tv, btw - I hate the total lack of involvement - that's why I play games.) So for a creation, I can see why the designers like the new party. They're looking at it as a better story, more detailed characters - and *they* put themselves in those characters. I'm looking at it as me, spending hours on a game. I'm interested in *my* character, who she (or he) loves, wants, fears, desires, her choices. I don't care if the guy across the camp is dreaming of the party witch.

It'll be great but wished I knew if I can fix my character  after the last autosave since most of my important items are DLC.

The FAQ says that while most items go with you, DLC Loot will not.



Does this include the Kings Armor from Return to Ostagar? It's the only DLC I havent bought, and if the armor doesn't even carry over....then I'm not gonna bother.

Also. What about if you ended the game as King. Will there be any mention at all about this?

And that ending was fairly bugged anyway. Has that been fixed in a patch that I missed, or was it just the ending slideshow that was messed up and it saves properly?

Oh, I'm under no illusion that I'm not jumping to conclusions.

I have thought of a couple of others ways they can handle the dog not being there, I just want to vehemently show them the one way I DON'T want them to say he's not there, which I felt quite necessary as this is also the easiest thing for them to do.

Alistair was my favourite, I also liked Wynn and Leliana those 2 were my characters best friends.
I liked dog as well. The others I don't really care what happens to them. Morrigan was a cow, Sten I recruited with my human but never liked him, Zevran I guess ok, Oghren sort of ok, Shale I quite liked but couldn't stand her voice.

I thought Alistair would be the likely choice as he's a very popular character and I thought that he would be the most likely to want to come and help rebuild the wardens.

I'll miss the romance options, but I also play a game for the adventure and story. Iam not entirely sure if I want to play awakening now, I think I'll wait a while and read what others say on it once it comes out.

Yeah, I was going to go and preorder this but now it seems like some kind of expanded DLC that has nothing to do with the main adventure no paid for DLC weapons no story angle whats the point of porting over your DA game save then?

I'll just wait and see now I didn't buy DA until Dec 29th last year so I can wait for a price drop on the expansion too...

Wish I hadn't wasted money on the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins now that I know none of the DLC or promo items transfer.
