Yay, I came to the website to check out Return to Ostagar, and an awesome surprise to see this announcement instead! I am super psyched that it'll be possible to keep playing as your Warden from the first game. Personally, I want Alistair to be the returning character, but with so many possible variables, I'd guess it might be Leliana who is returning...which is fine too, since she's my BFF in both of my playthroughs. :)

WHAT THE **** I CAN'T SEE THE TRAILER ANYWHERE IT'S LIKE SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT ME TO WATCH IT GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I want Leliana to return. Or Morrigan.

Chris Priestly came in and posted earlier that it would be back up shortly. Judging by the reactions on the forum, maybe he meant longly. Either way, you can expect it will be back up soon enough that you won't feel too left out. It wasn't up for long if it makes you feel any better!

Given how people who haven't seen it are champing at the bit, I think shortly will be considered too long no matter how short it might be. :)

Actually I take back what I was saying, the pc version is $29.99 not $39.99 which in British currency is about the same price as the average expansion, apologizes.

Haha; I was just playing the Throne of Bhaal expansion pack of Baldur's Gate II, and what do I find out when I check the news with Dragon Age?

I knew good old Bioware  had the Throne of Bhaal card in their sleeve - this is excellent!

I'll take any party member but Sten or Zevran. Didn't like either one of those characters. To be honest, if they're talking about only ONE returning character... wouldn't Dog be the most likely candidate? Man... I was really hoping to have Morrigan with me again. :-(

I'm very excited about this news, but at the same time rather disappointed....  I really liked the characters i met in DA:O... Wynne, Alistair, Leilana, and Morrigan all were great, but my personal favorite was Zevran.  I guess if we can have Zevran in the expansion I can live with losing the others....

..maybe if they aren't in your party they will still be in the game in some way...?  Like maybe some camio appearances. lol.

This is getting a little more reasonable.  Factor in sales and whatnot, and this expansion just became much more reasonable to me.  I'm glad now that I didn't jump the gun and get all mad about it before we knew more. ;)

It is disappointing that your romances from DA:O may be lost... at least in Baldur's Gate II expansion, The Throne of Bhaal, it continued the romance you were having. lol

My guess is also dog, and i like him, he's just not that talkative, unless you count his constant barking. Who else, my second, but in no way favorite guess is Leliana, but will happily surprised if i am wrong.

But the good news is, they only said one will return to be party member. That is not to say that the rest will be left out completely, they can still be in the game as important NPC's, just not as party members.

Question: I purchased Dragon Age: Origins through Steam, do I have to wait for the expansion to be available through them? Or can I pre-order through them as well?

Alright March 16, 2010 BioWare/EA time, what does that translate to in real world time?

I'm excited about this but, unless there will be pre-order incentives, I think I'll hold off for a while.

seriously... $40? I guess I'm not gonna buy that anytime soon. I would rather buy a full game like Final Fantasy XIII in March

damn. I really should have waited for the GOTY version

Steam and EA's relationship is weird.  They usually don't announce the games for Steam until like two weeks before release.  Even right now Mass Effect 2 is not on Steam, but I doubt EA is ignoring that market.  In a few weeks it will probably mysteriously appear for preorder.
