using the bioware delay multiplier, i expect the expansion to come out sometime around september.
I am voting for october. That's what happened with DAO itself, after all

Spoilers about the original DAO and basic information about the expansion's story are fine, but to spoil on how a nemesis (talking Darkspawn) we haven't even met yet meets his doom? Sure we don't know enough yet about the story for this to have any meaningful effect, but what happens when you play the game halfway, and then remembering this piece of video?
Even the original game was spoiled a lot before release. When I finally played the game, I knew what was going to happen or made many accurate speculations of yet to occur events, piecing things together from many of the marketing videos.
Ah, enough about complaining. Moving on.
Where does it say how The Architect meets his doom, if he even does? He's not in the main game, he's in the novel "The Calling."
The Archdemon is the "big bad" in the main game, and it sucks that it got spoiled for you, but how else did you expect the game to end? You have to end the Blight. That's not really the "end" end anyway, the real end is based on your decisions and not just the killing of one bad guy.
I read The Calling too. First off, the talking Darkspawn in purple is unlikely to be the Architect. The Darkspawn summoning an orb of black and green is the more likely candidate.
However, whether or not he is the Architect is beside the point. You want doom? Look at the picture of the Inferno Golem tearing the talking Darkspawn in two.

The returning character better not be Dog.

If the RTO is axed, I'd tend to speculate the date for this release may be well, not locked in as stated.
Very confused about the whole mess....................

so the 5 new members will be 5 new grey wardens (like you recruit them and convert them)
i hope its the case and maybe the talking darkspawn will reveal the true origin of the darkspawn (maybe the chantry was right or not we will see)

Actually,I did... That's why I brought it up. I was just trying to be subtle. Hence the quotes around darkspawn.Phoenixblight wrote...
Someone obviously never read the book.

There's raises the question of what DAA will do if Loghain is still alive, since he's the official recruiter. Is there a distinction between being a GW recruiter and a commander? It would probably be easier and cheaper for Bioware to send him off to the Deep Roads before DAA gets going.

True, but still, paying more then half of what the original game was new for an expansion seem a little much. I don't mean to sound cheap, but... forty just seems to much for me. I can only afford like, three new games a year.errant_knight wrote...

This Expansion sounds really cool, but, the forty dollars had me back up a little, Bioware makes great stuff. but that seems a little steep for an expansion for me. Even though it sounds awesome, I may hold off on it.
Given that the amount of groceries I could buy for forty dollars would be eaten long before I finish the expansion, I don't see this as excessive.

The one returning must be Sten-Lelianna-Zevrann or Morrigan. Or else ill break the game lol.
wouldn't one of them have to be alistair since he's a grey warden? this is assuming you don't have alistair do that thing at the end of origins that would prevent him from being there.

On another note - YOU ROCK BIOWARE! A DLC and an expansion all within 2-3 months of each other - fantastic!
Question - are romances continued from DA:O and are you allowed to start new ones?

Anyways the news of this makes up for the delayed addon we were to get today.
Also, will we finally see strings on our bows
Will there a collectors edition of the Xpack ?
Will this be offered on xbox live to down load ?
Will you think about makeing them all 30.00?
Anyways I hope to soon hear some more detailed info on this and not speculations lol

Also, as I said before, the changed the las scene of the trailer, with the golem just punching someone instead of tearing him apart, compare:
Mmmm... can we speculate on the new companions based on the trailer? I see a male and a female mage, and ohgren, and a light armor wearing guy (around 0:36). Seems to me that Alistair will not be playable, the old guy that says "You will need to replenish your numbers" is a small possibility as well. But they may very well be just stand-ins, because they look kind of 'meh'.
