But, if we import our character, will we still have the armor and weapons and talents and what not that we did in DAO? And for us who have Warden's Keep, would this mean that all the stuff in our storage chest is also imported? Because I had some REALLY nice stuff in that chest.. weapons that could be enchanted, dragonbone armor....-sniffles- I love my items and armor and weapons... I worked hard getting those!

So do we know if this will be on all platforms?
The article on IGN indicates that it will, but that is technically unofficial and unconfirmed until you read it on Bioware's website :-)

I'd imagine you would have to be able to go through the main game as an Orlesian.
There is no information to indicate that this Origin will be added to the Main Game.
Please, lets avoid jumping to any conclusions which may turn out to be incorrect. That only leads to unmet expectations and disapointment... which would be unfortunate for such people because this expansion is sounding like it's going to be excelent :-)
I wouldnt say we are jumping to conclusions.. we are mearly.. discussing the possibilites on how what we do know about the expantion will work and fit into the game play... its more speculations then anything really... and that is mix in, in between the posts about what we would like to see in the add on.
Agreed. In my case I grew to love all characters so I will be extremly sad if I'll have to start nurturing new relationships with new characters...

The Origin will be them possibly training at Vigil's Keep under the tutelage of the 'other' returning OC character.
Vigil's Keep gets attacked by Darkspawn lead by 'The Architect', Keep left in ruins but the Warden and OC character then set out to stop 'The Architect' from causing more trouble and vanquishing him once and for all.
I wonder if playing as an OC warden if we'll get our own variant of the 'Orlesian Wardens' origin story?
So instead of following a commander we are the commander.
I think my idea would allow for more than the obvious 2 potential choices for whom the returning OC character is, although I am intrigued as to whether it is just fully set in Amaranthine or not?
Edit: Just thought of a question, I wonder if the Orlesian Warden gets to choose any of the 3 classes?

On the other hand, all of this new content sounds awesome, and I can't wait for this expansion to be confirmed! (Assuming that it will be...)

I have 77% of the trophies unlocked. Its those getting to level 20 ones that I am going to hate. More so as I do not think my..gaming style is fit to be a mage...tis what I get for being a hack and slash kind of gal no?
I think I'll work on my female dalish warrior some more. I do love her so, I would like to see her being able to run into her clan again. I think she might have been in love with the keeper's apprentice
Or maybe my male noble warrior..player.. gosh, that guy has already worked slept with Morrigan and Leliana, and is working his charm on Zev, and he steals kisses from damsels in distress and sleeps with elven maids. xD
In any case, I have a few months to work all of the origins to the end of the game.

Personally, I'm hoping for the 'Architect' to reveal some sort of motive for the behavior of the Darkspawn, rather than staying with the weak explanation, "Oh yes, why are the Darkspawn hell-bent on killing everything? I don't know... That's the sort of thing bad guys do, isn't it? Anyway, you figure it out, I'm busy."

"Confirmed" I'd say it pretty much is. Now, for the release date.... Really!???

I reckon the Orlesian Grey Warden will only be useable in the expansion. I imagine they will start off at level 20

I believe, that you are the commander regardless of rather you do the Orlesian Origin, or your DAO Import

Now, we just need to keep the speculations from being seen as "fact" else we will have angry gamers swooping down upon us!
And we all know that swooping is bad..

Where is Amaranthine, can't seem to find it on the map?
I do believe that it is located in Highever, as Howl, the formor Arl of Amaranthine was a long time family friend of the Couslands, who were ..the.. pigon crap, I cant remember the title, it starts with a "T" though, in anycase, Howl was a family friend of the Couslands who ruled Highever.
