In all seriousness I'd rather have a batch of new companions plus my romance choice, and have the old companions kept as support characters where appropriate.

and i think alistair or oghren will be the companion as they are the two featured in the teaser video.

I am not a big fan of purchasing online, had a few bad experiences with that, and so I would be very glad if this could be possible.

We don't know, do we? Let's hope it's not another cameo parade.TheMadCat wrote...
Just because they're not in your party Angry doesn't mean they can't play a vital role in the story. Like I said earlier this is not a long game, you can bring back characters like Alistair, Leliana, and Zev without putting them in your party and still build your relationships with them and give them important parts on the side. Weather that's the actual case I don't know, but it can be done.

You guys are single handedly saving the video gaming industry from boring over-used, stock-footage-based games.
Cheers for that. Please keep up the good work =D

This whole conversation started that I was looking forward to it, but I was a bit disappointed about some aspects and gave my reasons. You can defend BW if you like, but that doesn't change my disappointment.SwordsmanofShadow wrote...

I was looking at the facts. The "sequel" is allowed to be executed after the main quest ends. That doesn't mean anything. Look at Shale... That character and its quest expands the game and becomes an integral part of it. The "expansion" on the other hand does not allow your old companions (except one) to be there. Assume Leliana is the one not returning in the game, then that wouldn't make sense for some players. In the epilogue and in the events leading to the final you would know partially how her life ends. Let's hope she doesn't get a cameo. It's hard to be more explicite, because it would involve spoliers.
As David Pointed out in another thread, one of the reasons our companions aren't there in the copacity we want is due to time/budget/manpower constraints. Besides, it isn't difficult to assume that your compainions may have interests outside of the Warden. Maybe they're away on assignment during Awakening and will be back for a different expansion pack.
The point of this Expansion pack seems to be a set up for future sequels (motivation of the Darkspawn and their ability to evolve).

I do have three questions I really want answered and if these questions already have shown up and been answered, please link them instead of yelling at me
My questions are:
1. Will the decisions you make in the DLC´s matter if you import your character?
2. If you play the DLC´s from the "epilogue save" after you have finished the main story, will your decisions still be incorperated if you import your character?
3. And if you make the "ultimate sacrifice" in the end, exactly how will you be able to continue with your character?

I just saw the trailer for the expansion and... Bioware, I'm not the type the usually gives away praise, but I just feel you need to hear it for the millionth time. Without wanting to sound weird or anything. I love you guys. Seriously, other game developers should be forced to watch seminars of what a good game is by forcing their eyes open for several hours in a huge cinematic screen showing gameplay footage of Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect.

maby leliana will make a cameo cuz she traveled to orlais after the ending of Dragon Age Origins
***SPOILER WARNING***
She travelled with me at the end of my story
I'd like it if Leliana was there.
We know that Morrigan will definietly feature because of what was written at the end of the story, Sten said he would see me again too. As others said earlier, Alistair was in the trailer so likely he is in it.
I'd be gutted not to see both Morrigan and Leliana again after all the work put in with their stories in my last play.

If you follow this link: http://dragonage.bioware.com/awakening and read the information given, it says that alongside 5 new companions, we will see the return of an old Dragon Age Origins favourite. The only person I can imagine this being is Morrigan, as she played a massive part in the storyline, and there are dialogue choices saying you can find her.
Also a lot of people theorise that Morrigan went to Orlais, which is where Awakening is set, so I'm hoping, and imagining so.

Unfortunately, Awakening is set in Aramanthine and not Orlais. You can make a new PC if you need to and his/her origin will be from Orlais.Mikestroe wrote...
I personally believe that yes, Morrigan will be in this expansion.

Aramanthine is northeast of Ferelden, somewhere around Highever aka. the exact opposite of where Morrigan probably went. Tough I still think she'll at least show up in the expansion, maybe not a HUGE part but she'll be there somewhere.

I can see it right now... after you finish the expansion you head towards Orlais and suddenly your ring starts to glow.. then BAM the game ends and you see the credits. Yes I know, not everyone has the ring but let me dream
When she shows up it will probably be when no one expects it.
