whuhahaha thanks for intepreting my english.

i was thinking that mabey if your king you can't contioun your charater sins you king and have a countrey to run.

i've never played that ending, but don't you only get that kingly position because you married Anora? basically Anora is the ruler and you can go off to adventure as you want?

so do we know for sure by now? is this expansion started as an additional campaign, or as new content that appears after you finished the original game?
and in case its an additional campaign, does DLC stay exclusive to the original campaign or is it accesible from the new one?

If I'm interpreting you English correctly, you CAN use your characters from DA:O in the expansion. The Orlesian Warden is for those who sacrficed themselves/want a fresh start.

Nobody is quite sure how that will work. Perhaps it is assumed you leave your spouse to rule whilst you are with the Wardens?

I'm hoping making the ultimate sacrifice in Origins is made worth it by how everyone in Awakening will talk about my character. Warden is the new Duncan!

The fact that DAO has such an enthusiastic and large community of fans should gratify its creators almost as much as the piles of money they are making off the franchise.  I for one am delighted that they are going to milk this cow as much as possible -- provided that they maintain the same incredibly high standards.  I am quite prepared to be surprised by the content of the expansion, but I can't help but wish that there would be some role for Duncan in this or a "prequel".  I found him to be one of the most compellingly drawn and appealing characters I have ever encountered in an RPG, and I have been playing them for many more years than I care to admit.  His death at Ostragar was probably necessary to remove such a dominating NPC, but it still seemed a bit wasteful and premature to remove a character that had been done with so much care.  Since there is obviously at least one survivor of the battle in the still pending DLC, why not Duncan, too?

I stand corrected on the possible female mage, it appears to be Lanaya, offcourse it may be that she joins you....I highly doubt it, so apperently we will visit previously visited places? in this case brecilian forest.... I am liking that male mage more and more for some reason, first me thought he was generic...I think he has more personality then I first realised...probably a sort librarian kind of type, the witty guy...who knows...

Also they changed the last bit of the trailer, the inferno golemn no longer rips the character in part, but stomps on them.

I'm sure this has already been asked but 38 pages of responses is pretty daunting:

Will the retail release be a CD/DVD or a box with a download code card (like Fallout 3's were)? Any idea what kind of HDD space will be needed for the download version?

Did you notice the reference to Baldur's Gate in that trailer? The scene with the Architect and the human falling from the tower looks just like BG's intro with Sarevok. Or is it just my imagination? ;)

Looking forward to the expansion :D

*hoping this isn't really spoilerish*

Despite evidence to the contrary I'm hoping Alistair will be the one to come back... after all, he'a still a grey warden too, and Maric/Cailan did step away from Denerim to fight the darkspawn - do you really see him sitting at home while there was a threat to Ferelden?  Assuming you ended with him erm, alive and well!

It also wouldn't surprise me if it was Duncan... if you've read the Calling then well, it does sorta open up some possibilities there!

Some random comments.
Only one companion in Awakening has been seen in Origins. The rest are new characters we hope you'll enjoy bunches.
The Inferno Golem and the Spectral Dragon are just two of the new creatures in the expansion. Expect more info and screenshots in the weeks to come. :)

So, will there only be one of the old companions returning? or all of them?

About the old companion who gets to join you again, Alistair imo is out of the equation since you can have him killed in your DAO playthrough. The same can be said of Loghain, Zevran, Leliana or Wynne.

Morrigan won't show up either for obvious reasons, her particular plotline will need time for it to be addressed again (I'm pretty sure the grown-up divine child will be kept for DA2... future PC possibly?).

Unless I'm forgetting someone, that only leaves Oghren or Dog (Shale only was optional content). Dog seems to be the most logical option... not the most interesting of characters, but I can't really imagine a reason why he wouldn't be around.

still hope we see some of the old guys, they have all grown to me and i really loved and cared for them, especially the romance, and it would be a shame imo if they just disappeared after all the work and energy i invested in them and how much they mean to me in the end of the game.

One can at least still hope i guess

as far as we know, 40 bucks is only for the console version. PC version (which you possibly want, considering you only spent 50 for the original game) will be 30 bucks (unless thats just gamestops or whoevers guess at what the price for the pc version will be).
im just worried about the price in europe. They usually turn 30 USD into 30 Euros

He said only one companion in Awakening has been seen in Origins. That doesn't mean we won't see any other companion from Origins aside from the one.

You dished out $50 two weeks ago, you won't have to dish out the $40 for ATLEAST 2 months. I don't see your point of argument.

I kinda made an arrangement with one of the old companions to travel to Orlais after killing the Archdemon etc. So will the companion you had before in Origins be "fixed" or will it depend on how you played "Origins " and the choices you made as to which old companion you will retain ? Also what about the DLC content character  "Shale" ? is she out now ? I guess so because we are loosing our Storage chest from Wardens Keep until some future expansion i guess when maybe we can use it again?

Looking forwards to battling the Architect and all his/her minions Posted Image

I really enjoy the game but it's really hard to make the points to boost your health and get some dinero out there. The graphics are really awesome even for me and I run a Nvidia 6800 on my system. I just wish my character would talk. It's kinda weird where everybody does and he's a mute except in battle then he opens his mouth. The dog is a nice touch too and picking your party. Like I said, the only beef is the health and money.

I'm pretty sure some of them will appear as NPCs (Alistair visibly does if you made him king in DAO)
