Three of them would be out of the question for NPCS.
Morrigan due to obvious reasons, Alistar due to just as obvious reasons (since all of his endings would prevent him in some way or another from runing around and rebuilding the Gray Wardens and saving the world once again) and Shale due to the fact she is DLC. Sten and Wynne is unlikely they would travel with you again. Wynne complains she is getting realy old and Sten wants to go home.
The last three (and dog) is actualy the only ones that makes sense that they would continue to travel with you (unless you marry Alistar). In my endgame i traveld for a while with Leliana, Zehvran and Dog, and Oghren eded up a soldier in Denerim). So I hope I get an explanation why two of them (or all three if its the dwarf that returns.) wont travel with me for this quest. Zev and leliana are both madly in love with me so they better have a reason to dump me. Hopefully they will return in other expanisons or sequals since i have to agree Oghren looks like the obvious choise if only one returns..

Possible spoilers????
Heck, this thread has at least a couple BIG ones. Unfortunately, I did not close my eyes in time.
And, of course, I question the decision to place a thread that acknowledges it will likely have spoilers in the section of the forums that is explicitly marked (NO SPOILERS ALLOWED).

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The most awesome thing this expansion would contain,is not an Origin story ,but a kind of Aftermath choice. They should be like Origins but players should choose the Aftermath they desire based on their choices in the original game.I mean ,If you let Alistair kill the archdemon ,well you should choose the Aftermath which doesn't include him in the game.Etc. ,don't want to be too spoilerish .
Aftermath choices (yeah, kind of a stupid name) should be like Origin stories ,but they reflect entirely on the choice you have chosen to follow in the first game. In my opinion, that should spicen the things up a bit and bring more realism into the game. I myself, haven't seen such a game where your choices in a game, influence massively the upcoming stories (Expansion, sequels) .Maybe there are,I don't know . So,yeah, that would really increase the replayabilty by A LOT .Having 4 Aftermath begginings prior to the 4 Endings in the first game should make Dragon Age a new RPG experience in my opinion .But ...that's just an ideea,it would be epic to implement (and kinda hard) .
Dragon Age - Origins -Aftermath (Sounds too S.F-ish huh) xD.

I also wonder this. I had asked the question about the female human noble marrying Alistair and becoming Queen / Princess-Consort and how that would be addressed. I still want to know about that.
I don't imagine it would be that difficult to add some throw away dialouge with Alistair/the rest of the Court to address that possibility. (Punts kitten)
If Cailen and Maric can go off figting on the frontlines/adventuring I don't see why the Queen, a renowned war hero, would be restricted.

If you watch the trailer at one point it shows Biowares character (the warrior guy whos in all the pictures for the game) killing the archdemon.
Then later in the trailer you see him running around ( now some could argue you never see his face but you do for a few seconds in the trailer)
Also you see hear that woman talking about the dead watching as i take over the mortals.
This all looks like it pointing to somthing, I belive that it could be possible your character gets revived somehow and you have the option to play as them again in awakening. (I hope this does happen, i really do want to play as my old character who did die)

thats pretty much the idea. You import your character and it continues the story from there with all the choices you did in the original campaign.Rostas7 wrote...

Same thing happens in Mass Effect 2. You import your character and all choices get carried over into the new game.

After watching the trailer and hearing about the darkspawn that talks, I think it would be cool if this darkspawn turns out to be your child that you created with Morgan if you completed the dark pact. I would like to see your party consisting of Lelliana if you harded her, Alister if he is still alive, Zev if you convinced him to stay and your dog. I became really attached to dog, I also think Morgan should return to your party no matter what.
it could also be the Architect from David Gaider's 'the calling'........i seriously recommend both books their freakn AWESOME

If think that in this end the game wont give your final save - so you cant continue with this ending, it's easy as that. In this case you have to use new orlaisian grey warden origin.Lady_Intimidator wrote...
What if you sacraficed at the end of DAO? But you want to continue using that origin? are you just SOL.. or will you awaken in the fade perhaps?this could be new duncan companion .)EricXIII wrote...
Is this supposed to be a darkspawn?:wizard:
This was no doubt a joke, but I think it would be an interesting twist if Duncan returned as some undead Darkspawn who tried to now convince you that everything you think you know about the Grey Wardens and the Darkspawn is wrong.
