...there is one party member that returns that can join your party and continue on. I think we're trying to keep that under wraps until a little bit closer to launch though.

Guys, dont know if you noticed but i have a theroy. (SPOILERS)

If you watch the trailer at one point it shows Biowares character (the warrior guy whos in all the pictures for the game) killing the archdemon.
Then later in the trailer you see him running around ( now some could argue you never see his face but you do for a few seconds in the trailer)
Also you see hear that woman talking about the dead watching as i take over the mortals.
This all looks like it pointing to somthing, I belive that it could be possible your character gets revived somehow and you have the option to play as them again in awakening. (I hope this does happen, i really do want to play as my old character who did die)

I believe they did say it didnt matter if you lived or died at the end...but i could be mistaken

My guess is that the architect has something to do with your revival if you made "the ultimate sacrifice" if you notice in the trailer you open your eyes and the architect is standing over you

...But of coarse it's just a guess

I didn't save right before I ended the game. I mean, I did when it was possible, but I don't have a save for the ending, after the whole end fight and everything. Can I still continue on from after that? Or just from my last save?

Eh? The articles says there will also be cameos. So yeah while only one (All but confirmed to be Oghren) will actually be in your party you'll still get to see and talk to at least a couple of others depends on who you romanced and how you ended the story, they may even play an important part in the story.

No worries. The game automatically creates a new slot PostCampaign for your after end save (but before the epilogue).

I'm excited about the respec from the start so we can choose new abilities if we want!!!!!

For example, we already see Alistair alter the game in some way in the trailer.

Why does this expansion feel like Bioware has gotten bored with the old characters? I mean that it feels like they want to abandon them and force the new characters down our throats so we're forced to like them...

Also... What happens with DLC like Warden's Keep? I heard that once you port to Awakening your character is done with Origins but that doesn't explain what happens to dlc?

I really doubt they'll disappoint. I mean you had plenty of time to unlock side quests in Ogirins & with gifts it was fairly easy to get all or most companions to 90+ toward liking you. I think through our journeys in Origins we got to know all of them very well. We can't really find out more...not much more at least.

What makes you think there bored with the old characters? just because there not squad members wont mean we will never see them again.

The RTO stuff is just blowing smoke IMO. I bet it will continued to be delayed, until Mar 16, and be included in the expansion.
