The base game has been pretty much done with development for almost a year now so they've had a good while to work on this thing, Gaider and his team have had even longer.

I am very happy to hear a full exspantion will be released at some point in time can't say I believe in Bioware any more to make there deadline with this exspansion though.

With (RtO) DLC still being postponed and them removeing there release date from site and posting the old message (This Holiday Season)Wich hate to tell you guys/girls in Bioware but the Holiday Season you keep reffering back to Is OVER now.

I wonder why they would resort to lets cover up our mess up with release on (RtO) and take fans minds off it with an acting like we can get a full exspansion released to them in march.Sorry just don't have any faith left for the employe's at Bioware to meet the own set gaols or to do there job as they say they will and do so now.

Looks a little bit like Oghren is there in the new game... in the trailer, there's a scene near the end that shows a dwarf from the back, has a two-handed axe, and has the same hair style/color as Oghren. He may be the "old favorite" they're talking about. No matter what, I'll be excited to play the new expansion!

I really doubt they'll disappoint. I mean you had plenty of time to unlock side quests in Ogirins & with gifts it was fairly easy to get all or most companions to 90+ toward liking you. I think through our journeys in Origins we got to know all of them very well. We can't really find out more...not much more at least.
  I mean what would you really prefer, the same old dribble as before..slightly new convos but same old people with all the old facts about them or a bunch of new party members we can get to know better!!!!
  I'm not saying the old members will not be missed but knowing Bioware & the awesome writings of David Gaider I honestly doubt any of us will be disappointed with our new companions. Maybe one or 2 but not every last one. I mean the only person I don't really like is Sten. lol.

Who me? About Sten? lol I can not stand him!! This(3rd) is my first play through I actually chose to save him. He isn't negative or positive just questioning everything I do every few minutes like an annoying child on a road trip!!! Haha. He's cool to listen to though while my friend plays, even Sten has funny lines.

I disagree about Sten. He's not *mad* at everything I did, but he questions it. I found that by being firm and in some cases, being more "honest" about my replies rather than chosing the reply to fish for influence yielded more influence in fact.

There was one part where he talks about how he is not impressed with Syrthiel. I replied to him, "I'm not trying to impress you." And he liked it. He will like the PC if the PC has a backbone, at least, that's how it was through my play through as a female elf mage.

Sten is a complex character, its just...his character isn't spoonfed to you.

I just don't want Bioware to forget the old characters because they wanna try something new and exciting with the new characters.

PS: What about DLC and characters like Shale? Are they all lost when we make the jump to Awakening and if so than wouldn't that mean that DLC is worthless in the end?

lol, I dont' remember calling him mad. He is simply annoying with all the constant questions just to test my reactions. I kept him alive this time to get to know him & see if he has a quest of his own but I doubt that will happen.
   like i said, I know where my charcter stands I do not need Sten constantly asking questions to reveal this to me or himself. He's funny when other people play him, I just find him annoying...not mad.

I love Sten. I like them all, my first play through I didnt like Morrigan. I kept thinking people were talking to my character, confused me for a little bit. lol. My name seems to be popular in these kind of games, theres a Morgana in Divinity 2. ( Sucky game dont waste your money!!) I like all characters they should just let all the party memebers go along and add  the new 5 NPC to the bunch.

I wonder what the new spells and battle skills will be? Dog sure could use some more moves, maybe like "Leg Hump" the enemy will lose their ability to attack till he/she/it shakes Dog from their leg

do I really have to create a new character?
is my pc going to "awake"?

for instance, if my pc had romance interest and sacrefice his/herself at the end,
is the romance going to continue?  I highly doubt it.

I'm so unbelievably excited for the new expansion, yeah what about the DLC characters?? Will they be imported as well? I'd hate to play without Shale, shes become a favorite of mine lol. As for the returning character, personally I hope it's Alistair, but I would love to have all the characters come back, I enjoy all of them. Not too sure how I feel about new characters . I am glad that you will be able to import a character from DAO. Look forward to the expansion and hopefully its out on time..... still waiting for RtO

I just pre ordered it off of Game Stop, if there is it didnt say anything on the website. Im sure they will though, all the games I have pre ordered come with something.

  I really hope you're actually dead, otherwise it makes your self sacrifice pointless & we'll end up with the same lame intro as Fallout 3 expansions. Just completely defeats the point of sacrificing yourself if you expect a magical resurrection. If Wynne used the last of her life force bound to the spirit to rez you sacrificng herself now that would be interesting.

Quite looking forward to this expansion, only had DAO since January plenty of time for a couple run throughs before then.

Hi everyone!
New to the Forum, Yay!

I am excited about the expansion but a little nervous...
Just ONE old party member?

I am very attached to my War Dog (Dot of War) who is named after my put bull dorothy, and Alistair was my love interest in both plays, and Wynne is just so great to have around. 
So... Im super nervous about how this is going to go.. Lets see how they import your choices and your ending, I hope its satisfying and not cookie cutter... 
I have really enjoyed this game.  Alistair is nicer than my Boyfriend!

I just hope that the game carries on where you left off in the previous one. I worked hard on playing the game out in my own little fantasy world. xP

I married Alistair, in which he and I became the king and queen. I did it for a reason and not just because and I don't want to lose that. I wanted to have fun ruling stuff. Haha. When I walked out the doors the game was over and I was all sad. I am SOOO glad there is a sequel and it better be my hubby as the companion we keep! I saw him in some of the trailer for the expansion so he better still be my little love sick puppy king.
