Haha I know exactly how you feel!!! I have the collectors edition for PC, 2 shirts, both books, rented the 360 version, & my xbox live avatar has DA:O gear!!!!
I also agree Shale is pretty awesome but I think Wynne is my favorite & I can not wait to meet our 5 new companions & find a new favorite(or maybe 2nd favorite who knows)!!!!

It`s Wynne - use your eyes - she is in trailer - blasting trees.
That doesn't means she will join your party.
I prefer speculate with history more than with trailer

Oh yeah, this thing must be pretty big to be able to get to mid-high 30s, cuz in the final battle, where I was constantly fighting swarms of darkspawn and 100xp+ bosses I only levelled from halway through 19 to 21, so hopefully this is a sign that the expansion will be as large as is claimed. If about the size of Shivering Isles I'd be happy.
And finally, on the topic of the returning companions- I think Morrigan is out because the stroy just doesn't seem to focus on her or her god-child-thing. I think that will be part of DA:2 to be honest becuause that demi-god child has HUGE potential; just think of all the possibilities... will it be evilesque (AKA Morrigan), will it posess the consciousness of the Old God whose soul it posesses? Will it be able to remember its time as an Old God? Perhaps wreak revenge on the Chantry whose Maker sent it to sleep for eternity? So many possibilities...

"How you choose to rebuild your order, how you resolve the conflict with
"The Architect", and how you determine the fate of the darkspawn will
be but some of the many complex choices that await and shape your
journey as you venture to the new land of Amaranthine."
"All-new Complex Moral Choices: Embark on an epic story that is completely defined and reactive to your play style
- Shape your entire experience based on the choices you make and how your handle complex situations"

it would be great if the Awakening retail disc included installation files for all DLC released up to whenever they make the discs. I know the DLC isn't really too big (for todays filesize standards anyway), but its some more download i can avoid.

1. Make an option that I can disable my characters to switch automatically to their melee weapon if they are using a ranged weapon and are being attacked.
2. Make the game more difficult. Make nightmare really a nightmare. It's very hard to die on nightmare if you just pay a little bit of attention.

That's NOT Wynn, if you pause it when you see the mage's face you can see that she is a young blonde - Wynn's face was aged and this one isn't.
We know from the trailer that Alastair is in it and it appears that he is king so I doubt he'll be in the party. There is what *appears* to be a party shot in the trailer featuring a dwarf who is wearing full armour and therefore *could* be Oghren, a mage who appears to be a new character, a figure that may or may not be a female rogue (certainly a dual wielder with light armour), and a male warrior I assume to be the PC.
Of course this is all conjecture and I may well be proven wrong!

But theres no doubt will see Alistar and maybe other old buddies but they won't be in your party.

I ask b/c I'm curious if it definitively is Oghren or if we could just cross paths in traveling. Example, like when you pair up with a random guard & mage(or what ever fit your main character) at the Tower of Ishal...just with characters we know well. So they join party for a quick mission or cut scene but we can not recruit them. I am just saying Bioware seemed to make a big deal out of the secret char but i do no see how it couldn't be Morrigan or Loghain/Alistair.
