when you go to your mother, you are intrudused to some old lady then her son and daughter, i think its that daughter.

then we talked about the same. The name of the old Lady is Lady Landra, and her son is Dairren. But the blonde girl at her side, Iona, is not her daughter, but her elven lady's maid.

I seen your pics and the one where you say it Oghren hard to tell really whether it exactly him or not could be another dwarf or something. Also I'm not wrong Alistair is in awakening if you seen trailer. As Bioware have said a old favorite not some will be back I will just assume it him. I will believe Oghrens back when you see the face of that person.

Only one companion in Awakening has been seen in Origins. The rest are new characters we hope you'll enjoy bunches.
The Inferno Golem and the Spectral Dragon are just two of the new creatures in the expansion. Expect more info and screenshots in the weeks to come.

I'm not really sure why we need an all new NPC cast (except for one), one of the prime qualities of BG (yep I had to drag it out) was the continuing relationship with Minsc, Vic, Jaheira and many others. Ok I can see why Sten, Shale, Wynne and probably Oghren wouldn't want or couldn't continue with the Warden and in Alistair's case he'd probably be pretty hard to incorporate into everyone's game with so many possible endings (I might be mistaken but from the trailer I guess he won't be fighting along)
However I can't really imagine why would Zevran (as lover or friend), Leliana and Dog leave his/her side. Or is it possible that the returning companion isn't fixed but depends on your PC's choices(relationships in the first game (well now that would just be a terrible waste of resources I guess)?
I for one tend to always get terribly attached to the NPCs and really hope they'll be getting at least some side roles and that the romantic interest from the first part wil at least write every now and then  

And please please please don't let it be Leliana... or Sten... or Wynne (I mean I like Wynne but if I have to choose between her and Zevran, Shale, Alistair, Oghren or dog... Well I choose Zevran any day and 100 times on Sunday)

I can't believe the dog does not seem like he will make an appearance they are war hounds for battles i would of thought they would at least make another dog in party.

There are surface dwarfs lol but anyway you prove it's Oghren that guy above is a new character so i don't think we will get to know who he is till maybe closer to release when more information will come.

I seriously hope the $39.99 price listed by GameStop is just a place holder, especially for the PC version. I know EA continues to lose money on a quarterly basis, but trying to return to progitability on the back of an over-priced expansion pack is not the answer!

two scenes later the main character* is wearing a helm resembling the juggernaut helm....

* I'm making the assumption that the main character is the character wearing the helm that resembles the juggernaut helm, based on the assumption that the main character has kept on the same gear through out the cut scenes unless noted otherwise; feel free to point out any errors.

assuming the main character is wearing the helm that resembles the juggernaut helm, then he is clearly behind the ghostly figure after the scene where that ghostly figure kicks down the gate, alongside his other companions.

Personally, I think that preview video should be taken down, I was able to slow it down for viewing....and well, I keep looking at that (NO SPOILERS ALLOWED) thing.

This intelligent darkspawn I don't think is the first he might of just evolved from some sort of darkspawn. If it was the very first darkspawn why can't all darkspawn talk?. I'm just speculating as usual there could be higher ranked darkspawn that learned to speak.
