@ Sir Ulrich: depends if they make it canon: you're still a Geey Warden after all, and even if you choose differently at the time, the reappearance of the Darkspawn might force you to abandon your plans and face the Darkspawn threat first as you're always a Grey Warden. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
And yes, dog ins not mentioned in any epilogue i've seen, that makes him such an easy choice for the old companion to return. Again, not my personal favorite choice, that would be a very special female romancable option, just my personal realistic guess.

Right, I was just thinking about this t'other day.... Since there are possible outcomes of DaO and you can upload your original PC, I think it would be amazing you could upload the ending of your game onto the expansion pack... anybody else with me?

The original costed me 54$ and they are charging close to 75% of that price for an expansion.Combine that expansion with Return to Ostagar and the Warden's keep and what do you get? 40$+5$+7$=52$.

Within 5-6 months of release,Bioware will give you about half the content of the original for the same price.It's even worse than Bethesda tactics with Fallout 3 DLC.

I think they have said before that trends in the gaming industry mean less chance of retail expansions.

So I am guessing it has to be a certain price to justify retail stores stocking it. And the logistical hassle of distributing copies to every retail store all over the world.

At one stage people were complaining because they thought there would be no boxed expansion. So I am happy to pay a bit extra if it means they can release a few retail expansions.

If you have concerns about the value. Just weigh up the forum reaction before buying.

Well an expansion like the sims 2??? Those expansions cost 20 dls, and they are only a bunch of items

Seeing as the current 3 DLC (including that delayed one) have been marked as taking place before the final battle, hows does the expansion effect future DLCs? Is there going to be a mix for both the OC and the Exp? or just the former? (going on the basis of not everyone getting the exp but still wanting to play official DLC)

Yay, I heard about this a few hours ago, but I'm so glad it's now comfirmed. I can't wait. I finished the game back at the end of November. I'm so excited to see where the story goes. I hope it really does come out in March.

Hopefully adding Amaranthine involves a trip to Dragon's Peak. Rebuilding the Grey Wardens sounds like it will be cool but I'd say there is no way they meet the March 16 deadline if they've had to delay Return to Ostagar twice now and it has only a fraction of the content.
