I hope zevran will be in the x-pac!! If not I wil cry :(

You're almost encouraged to kill zevran when you meet him.....loghain's assassin that amubushes you? I'd say that a lot casual players.....you know the ones that don't live on the internet and learn about everything.....probably did kill him. So bringing a character that too many people will miss isn't very likely.

Anyone know if Awakening will be a stand-alone adventure where you import a character.. or if it will add content on to the main campaign? I plan on replaying the game and would like to know if the expansion will add to the main campaign experience or just happen after it.

Most people aren't homocidal maniacs. When given the chance to not kill somebody, your average joe won't.

Once you go to awakening i have heard you cannot do anything in the other campaign so answer would be no I presume.

I've heard that as well, XO, but what I'm unsure of is if the expansion will add any content to the main campaign. I dont want to short change my 2nd playthrough.

Once you go to Awakening it's assumed that you can't go back to the Origins areas.

What do you think this is? Oblivion? Not in my Dragon Age!

I have not seen any information so far telling me any content will be added in the main campaign. I hope they do but it don't look likely.

I've read the awakening is set in a time after you kill the archdemon. so i would assume that it wouldn't add any main storyline content. Maybe once you kill the archedemon, the awakening storyline would begin? And yes once you're in the awakening you can't go back a do origins side quests because technically you would be in the 'future'.

It makes sense really you can't go back and do side quest. What I'm going to do is start again and do every quest possible. Thats if ME2 does not keep me too busy:P

Also i think that the character who is coming back most be Morrigan since in order to continue playing as your original character you gotta do the ritual or sacrifice someone else :l

You don't have to be a homicidal maniac to kill the assassin hired by the despot hunting you down for knowing something that inconveniences him. You are trying to exagerate the situation well beyond what it is. Your party clearly tells you it is high risk to take him with you.....if you start talking to him.....it's just common sense driven by a mild to low desire to stay alive.

She might be back I guess but not playable like Alistair she is like pregnant with a child. The Old companion returning is not Morrigan she will not be playable I think even if she does make a appearance. The playable companion looks like it be Oghren so far I am not saying it him either I cannot know.

I finished the game last night(agian) and in the epilogue they so set you up for the exspansion. They must have been planning this before the game released.Which makes me very happy because its more likely that they will hit that March release date.

There are a couple of things wrong with that. First Oghren is general by default(no imported save) and has other duties much like Alistair and secondly BioWare wants to keep the returning party member a surprise and a secret so it's just a bit counter intuitive to have him seen in the first video they show. We've seen Alistair too but we all agree he's not it so I don't see how this is different.

From the looks of things, your character will be able to put characters through the Joining which is good.

I was dissapointed how I couldn't make anyone else a Grey Warden except for Loghain.

Doesn't make much sense to Morrigan to come back, either...

(Spoilers)

For story reasons. She ends up

a) gone to west if you reject the ritual

B) gone to west pregnant with a normal child if you romance her but reject the ritual

c) gone to west pregnant with god-child

(I'm not aware if there's another ending for her)

and d) It would destroy her personality ("You know what, I like... totally changed my mind, let's get married and have more babies, ok?").

And some practical, real world decisions:

a) They might not be able to sign Claudia Black to reprise the role in such short notice (unless they were thinking of this exp. WAY ahead of time).

B) Or maybe EA does not want to shell out more $$ to hire the big actors just for a exp, etc...

The other problem is that for Morrigan to be important to the overall story it's only if the dark ritual is set as canon, but both Bioware and a lot of players want to keep the canon 'flexible' by using your previous decisions.

Well like I said I cannot know who it will or will not be we can keep saying it not going to be Oghren as he not popular as I would of gathered with this trend alone. People like Morrigan and Alistair from everything we know about Alistair being king and Morrigan having that child they will most likely be non playable if anything, it leaves us with the others and I doubt it is Shale and the rest can die throughout game all but Oghren. They have said you can't choose who this companion will be well a Mod did anyway. This is why I have come to my own conclusion it could be Oghren.

These things are planned out years in advance and the writing is always done long before anything else. In this case more then likely any voice actors making a return would have recorded the dialogue for Awakening at the same time they recorded their dialogue for Origins. It's much cheaper in the long run and can save a couple thousand dollars on some of the bigger named voice overs.

But not being able to choose doesn't necesserily have to mean you can't influence. They might end up having of two or three possible candidates determined by your choices rather than by direct choice upon starting Awakening. Probably not but still something to place out there.

Now also remember that the game-end ceremony is 5+ months after killing the archdemon and a few weeks away before the PC's wedding if you are a noble and went that way(yes David Gaider confirmed that months pass between) and then Awakening happens several months after that......so it's entirely probable that Morrigan already had the child at this point. Sice 6+"several" likely means more than 9.
