Off topic but I have to ask... why call them biower instead of bioware?

I use a Paladin to the noggin, but a Falcon or Scorpion works just as well.

Phantom sync kills really need to be toned down.

I've been away from the game for some months. The game changed a lot. The forum stayed the same. 90% of the topics created are deja vu's.

Every class has a trick available to deal with phantoms. If you did not find yours yet, rely on your comrade and keep trying.

Let's just forget the main reason to why people use the Acolyte.

How about you fix Phantoms instead, biower? Mobile as Dragoons and Nemesi combined, they have a mass accelerator cannon in their palm, they have staggering melees, they don't need to melee you for a sync kill, they can sync kill through staggers, AND TO BOOT -- they have insane DR.

I'm tired of gun nerfs and character nerfs, how about you fix the enemies for once?

Fixing the game is not what they do.

What they do is nerf.  They also give token buffs to completely trash weapons.

For those on bsn who are very intellectual, I was using a Cryo-Havoc with a Carnifex. Headshots (w/ cryo debuff) hardly did any damage at all.

Phantoms are easy to kill even on gold just stay out of melee range and burn them to death

Yeah what about phantoms? There not too hard for most of the cast to deal with, and there are still plenty of guns that can stagger lock them into oblivion. Mabe people should actualy learn how to PLAY the game instead of going auto pilot with win button guns.

Because it's nigh impossible to take them seriously.

Those are a few alternatives

So I have to use a select few of classes to deal with ONE enemy? Do you know how dumb that is?

I'm just stating only a few of several options that you can use to handle a Phantom. How you deal with the rest of the enemies is not my issue.

What I'd like to know is regardless of enemy class and their weapon of choice, why does their ammo strip shields as standard for us players with just 1 shot or just a few?
That never made sense to me.

Why should some classes be gimped by taking those two just to deal with one enemy? Caster classes could suffer the most. On my adepts I role a Wraith and Acolyte for a 150 CD. If I put on a falcon it will destroy that. While the Scorpion with ULM is effective it doesnt work as well.

Yeah, those guys that have been there since day 1 and made the game unplayable until the blessed Acolyte...

They said a very small nerf, so I wouldnt be too concerned. They said the same about the carniflex and If I remember correctly, they only increased its encumbrance, not exactly a gamebreaking nerf.

Phantoms aren't too bad, use a power and get them to throw up their talk to the hand bubble and then headshot them while they stand still.

Phantoms are fairly easy to deal with, just don't let them get close.

I wouldn't take an acolyte fighting against cerberus anyway. Take a scorpion to stagger phantoms and the goon squad.

The tone of this post is a little harsher than I'm comfortable with, but i can't argue with the gist if it.

True But the acolyte strips shields far faster then the Scorpion can making it also useful for atlases

Sooooo in other words you want the Acolyte left alone so you can carry not only a shotgun, but also an Acolyte? Thats kinda the reason they have weight penalties. You have to choose your weapons. Hell, if I could put any combo of guns together AND maintain a high CD so I can blow crap up with BE's...........thats just wrong!

The thing is, for classes that can't deal with Phantoms efficiently, they pretty much have to use the Acolyte. Seeing as that what most people mainly use it for, I think that's enough indication that something needs to be done regarding Phantoms.

They're Atlases and Dragoons combined into one unit. (Although Dragoons are pretty much only reskinned Phantoms, so moot point there.)

They always melee before an instakill. If two players are in a Phantom's close range, she may melee one player, and instakill the other.

On my caster I do no teven put the acolite: Wraith (or paladin) will do just fine
