Acolyte Nerf, but what about Phantoms?

I packed a Wraith for backup, still did jack sh!t with all the DR.

If you're carrying two guns then why not go Wraith + Scorpion or Falcon (Havoc can manage the weight) and Carnifex/Paladin?

Complaining that an enemy is too tough while using bad weapons on bad classes doesn't support the case that the enemy needs to be nerfed.

You mean like my HA build, who takes a Hurricane and no Acolyte? Shockwave, as much as I defend the power, does not stagger phantoms.

- Stasis
- Sub. Net
- Inferno Grenades (Before Bubble)
- Scorpion
- Flamer
- Hawk Missile Launcher (Forces her into bubble, then can unload with weapons)
- Grenades (Any, can force into bubble or time it so she gets slammed when getting out)
- Explosions when outside of bubble
- Decoy (She'll focus on it, giving players enough time to kill her)
- Paladin Ice-Shield Melee 
Need more be said?
There's many other ways then the Acolyte to kill her, however since they removed it's charge-up mechanic (Which was kinda stupid since they haven't fully fixed missile glitching anyways..) it just became the easiest way to kill her quickly. So meh... Kinda annoying that we're paying for BW's decision but, whatever, will just have to live with it.

Edit:
Also forgot about the Falcon, without missile glitcher it they can, temporarly hold off a decent number of Phantoms at a time. Don't really know about the Striker... And took the Falcon on Plat with a Justicar and it worked out fine.

I'd really like to know what classes you think have problems against phantoms. They ALL have either an instant hit power that will eat up barriers and make them run and hide, or a projectile power that makes them put up the bubble for easy headshots (some even have... *gasp* BOTH).

I'd also like to know what this scorpion is unreliable business is.  It's unreliable if you can't hit them directly with it, but that's not the weapons fault.  (although it may be the host ofcourse...)

The only relevant point in this discussion is highlighted.  Phantoms get a million percent damage reduction on host, unless you use a stagger weapon they're sturdier than atlases.  

But whatever, everybody tell OP to l2p, that's a lot less intellectually demanding.

Easier said than done. Phantoms do spend most of their time cartwheeling all over the place.

But if we use good weapons on good classes.. People will start calling them OP and start crying to nerf everything.. It's safer to just use ****ty weapons and classes.

Oh look! A sarcastic post completely ignoring my question! How original!


EDIT:   To be CLEAR, the point was all kits have a power that makes head shots easy, or makes them run and hide without much effort.  They'll start flipping instead if you let them get up close to you, but that's the player's fault.

Didn't you hear, it got nerfed once, so now it's a totally useless weapon that you should absolutly never use.
