Stop stop stop phantoms are WEAK yes they are annoying yes there palm cannons are ridicoulous. BUT THATS WHAT MAKES THE GAME FUN. If every person got there wish it would be like playing call of duty on very easy ease up accept a challenge. I understand cerberus is a hard faction but understand this what fun is the game if you keep on keep on nerfing. Ill admit the acolyte nerf is dumb but needed. Stop complaining *Balance
Phantoms are the opposite of fun.

This. If I wanted to spend the entire game trying to kill one enemy I'd bring a lv 1 character with a Disciple to a Collectors/Platinum game.

Obviously, seeing as they're dumber Phantoms without DR. Only thing is, Dragoons don't take forever to kill.

They just respawn behind you in the middle of a melee animation.

Host.
Multi-Fragless Destroyer.
Revenant X, Claymore X.
No enemy in the game should make this set up as big of a joke as the Phantom does.
If you specced out of the stagger power why aren't you using say, a GPS instead of the Claymore? Or some other weapon combo that includes something that can easily deal with Phantoms (Striker + Claymore would also work). Phantoms aren't novel creatures that rarely show up, not preparing for them doesn't make any sense.
So you're saying that Phantoms need to have more attention put into them than any other enemy in the game? That a Destroyer can't use two extremely powerful weapons at level 10 because Phantoms completely nullify them?
You need to be prepared for all the enemies you're going to face. Its the same as playing against Geth and not considering that you'll need something to deal with their shields.

BSN posts replies telling OP to L2P or something similar
OP replies he's quite capable of knowing how to play the game and is a headshot machine (20 by wave 3)
BioWer will not nerf Cerberus phantoms in spite of OP posting a plea to Balance/fix DR
OP knows of many ways to kill phatoms inspite of the DR mechanics
So why was this thread made?:innocent:

Wait what enemy in Geth makes that set up a joke? Pretty sure you can just slap on Disruptor ammo and the Geth will fall even faster. Do it to Collectors too, goodbye Barriers, and even the Reapers, you need something for those Banshee's.
Cerberus, Atlas? No, even they can't stand up to that set up. Dragoons? Yeah Hawks and stagger immunity with a Claymore. Phantoms? Oh...

Because people are mad that they are taking their baby acolyte away. Well, not away, just reducing it's effectiveness slightly. It will still be a good gun, but people will still whine.

Now there's more units to pick weapons specifically for. First, you need something to stagger Geth before they perma-stagger you. Second, you need something to deal with Dragoons before they perform another retroactive interrupt of the power you just cast. Luckily I received my first UR level X weapon yesterday...The Scorpion. The only problem is that you can't get armor piercing with the Scorpion. To be honest foot-shots on Guardians were a lot easier with the Acolyte than they are with the Scorpion.
Basically, now non-Pull/Lash/Stasis casters will have to carry two guns instead of one to protect themselves from Phantoms, Dragoons, Guardians and Geth.

Or a Javelin.
Or a Black Widow.
Or get into melee range and dodge backwards, she doesn't have DR when meleeing. (Don't do this offhost)
Or throw a nade, if she bubbles she gets less DR, and you can actually aim at her easily.
If she doesn't bubble she'll take the nade damage.
Or aim at her sword, she's staggered when it breaks. Perfect for follow up precision shooting.
Flamer.
Subnet (which actually works decently on host).
etc...

I'm not saying that that specific build is bad against Geth, it was an analogy. Let's say you have a Geth Soldier, which is a decent build out of the box against Phantoms thanks to Flamer, but not so capable against Geth unless properly equipped with weapons/ammo powers to deal with shields. Now, if you play U/U/G with your GS and don't have some sort of way to deal with shields, then its all on you if you end up against Geth and perform inadequately. Your particular build is somewhat uniquely bad against Phantoms, if there's a chance you'll be up against them and you're struggling with them, then its all on you for not preparing for that eventuality.Our_Last_Scene wrote...

Also, it isn't like swapping out one of your weapons (Revenant or Claymore) for a stagger gun completely gimps the character or that stagger guns are only useful against Phantoms. Personally I don't see the particular build mentioned (no MFs, Revenant+Claymore) as all that effective in general compared to other Destroyer builds/loadouts, but that's a discussion for another thread.
