Ask Chris.. he is forced to be nice, so he has to accept you :innocent:

I'm sorry, but leetspeak is acceptable here as it is a language option. ;p

My heart is broken into a thousand tiny quivering pieces, as if it had been struck down by a great blow from a hammer, screaming millions of times, and then fading into silence.

Yay overreaction!

Yes, but there is also the matter of ignoring leetspeak being vastly better for your mental health. If I reacted to the things that annoyed me, I'd be half mad by now and the ability to go "meh" at that sort of thing, has ensured I am only 1/4th mad !!1!!

/Yes the number was deliberate.  (Quoted since I thought I'd be the next post down.."coughs" originally imported_beer)

Sanity is for the weak. For one thing, insanity brings greatly more interesting dialogue options...

Since it was just asked elsewhere:

To adjust email notification settings, go to Profile => Account Settings.

Nice to see so many people from OT on here. even though on this site it is easier to keep track of others. I somehow feel people are more distant.

Haven't met anyone worthy of my stalking capabilities or murdering abilities! Also I love puppies!

Since I have no idea what my friends want to see from me, I'm very much hoping the filtering feature will be fixed soon. In the meantime, I tried to modify the privacy settings to cut back on the updates...

I think it's working. When I tested it I didn't realize every update sent me to a different page with a separate set of filters.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll narrow down some of my privacy settings.

Somewhere in the internets is a lonely shaw email account that I no longer own, still tied to my account, getting a rediculous amount of emails right now.

Narrowing down the privacy settings is a very good idea. I shall edit that now myself.

Sure, it is family to my own poor lonely account related email

To n2nw:

Tolerance is of course a virtue, and I do remember that not everyone speaks English.
I just get the urge to kill and stomp up and down on words with numbers in them. It's probably freudian. Nevertheless, I do think people should try and get the words and sentences accurate and clear. If I was, say, to go to a Japanese forum, I would try my hardest to make sure my Japanese was right.

Tolerating genuine newbishness is a good thing, tolerating random leetspeak isn't, eh?

About this, english is not my first language, and while I like being corrected, because writing in a forum is a way to improve my english, I don't think it's polite pointing other people mistakes (I'm saying I wouldn't do it). If you read a message I wrote that is written with bad grammar, feel free to correct it.
And about people writing unaccurately, happens if they are still learning, and you can tell if they are trying to make it clear or not.
But, in the end, people can write as they want, with or without numbers and good grammar, it's up to them and it's up to us reading it or not, so I don't have any problem with it.

One thing I can't stand is seeing people make personal attacks about irrelevant things, such as music taste.

Yes, I have seen it happen on this very site!

Ideally there shouldn't be personal attacks of any kind. That's why we can report posts/posters.

We can even report our own posts. Now that is a noble deed!

Don't know if this has been said, but in your account settings, unless you like having your email account you signed up with flooded with every little bit and piece, I turn all that off. Just log in to your social account if you want updates.
