I tried just now to respond to a topic posted by another forum member.

However, my reply link is disabled.

Instead there is a message "You do not meet the requirements to post in this forum. "

Why should this be? Image IPB

Hmmm, can you link to the topic?

Does it have a little Padlock on the icon for it? That means the topic has been "locked".

No, it does not have a padlock, and because of the high standards of programming I observe generally from Bioware, I would expect a meaningful message to say "topic locked" not "I'm not allowed to participate" which by default implies other contributors are, and indeed, have already done.

It must be something specific to do with my profile.

I have 100% approval with Zevran but the only dialogue options I have are "Care to answer some questions?" > "Let's just move on." and "I'd like to discuss something personal" > "I want you to leave" and "We need to end this." How can I get more dialogue options? Also, someone said I couldnt get anymore approval points by giving him gifts at 100% approval, so I can get more approval points at 100%, just not through gifts? Is there some kind of relationship bar, or is 100% approval pretty much the extent of the relationship? And what kind of plot decisions should I make to gain Zevran's approval?

There are tons of threads about romances in "spoilers" part of the forum. I suggest you try there.

When you're at 100%, that's as far as the approval rating will go, there's a bar on the character sheet that represents this. The key to progressing the relationship is to pick the right responses when the dialogue becomes available, there are periods where you may have expended all of the possible options at that time but more will become available after some events or further on in the plot.

As for what he responds too, well I find that agreeing with him normally works.

no, I think it is just a really crappy error message.

Can you provide a link to the topic? then we can be sure what the issue is.

I have just seen a padlock, on the top left, it's actually not that obvious unless one knows where to look, why would a topic be locked?

Does a lock mean I have to get special persmission to reply?

Or is it just a way of saying "no more replies please".

The padlock means "no more replies please"

In this instance, the thread didn't belong in this forum, instead it should have been in the official campaign belong in this forum:

Dragon Age: Origins Official Campaign Forum (SPOILERS)

This forum is for fans of Dragon Age: Origins to actively discuss story or other discussion elements that may spoil the game for other fans. This forum is open to registered game owners. Please register your copy of Dragon Age: Origins to post here.

Some helpful community members told the thread poster that, and the thread poster said they would ask their question in the other forum. The thread was then locked because it doesn't belong in this forum (since no spoilers are allowed in this general discussion forum).

Okay, thank you, I shall use your link to endeavour to find the continuation of this topic in the forum in which it was appropiately relocated and pick up where I left off, or rather, tried to leave off.

Hopefully this won't present a whole new set of problems and my long anticipated reply will still be topical and relevant.
