How far away is an actual patch? If it ends up with the same health and shields as the basic human soldier for a few weeks its not the end of the world.

Yes, well Retaliation was quite a large DLC pack and obviously we shipped with more bugs than we hoped.


For me, the fact that you fix them every week more than makes up for the bugs. That's excellent dedication, some companies might just leave them forever...

Given that I see the QS as a damage dealer, this might actually be good for me.

Because he has the Human fitness most likely. Not a new custom race fitness. This can't be change without a patch. Lack of Beta testing shows. One of many reasons I don't take the Devs seriously, nor think they have any right to Nerf any bloody thing. 


Actually he does have a custom Fitness so we are able to modify his Fitness specifically.

a better questoin is will you make us wait a week for this? because usually by that point i have moved on from the OOOH SHINY stage of a new char and would be more interested in the next one then trying him again.

hmm, live changes can only do so much ..

is something like giving him a movement speed bonus possible, that's not very very original but that's be nice for a quarian to run fast and that fall under survivabilty just like the missing shields
+ i'm assuming live changes can't be really more creatives can they

Hey Eric, just a suggestion, but you guys may want to take a look at the remaining kits to be released so you can identify any more obvious bugs. Might help you guys know beforehand what kind of things people are going to point out.

I think they have to make us wait a week right? So they can test the changes, etc. I don't work at BioWare obviously so I really have no idea haha

I bet he means they can't change base Fitness values through weekly changes. Evolutions can be modified though.

Maybe the evolution bonuses could be increased to be relatively on par with the other QMs if you at least go to 4b.

I wouldn't expect a patch anytime soon or ever really. Look how long the last one took to come out. It's not cheap for them to release a patch, and at this point in the life cycle of MP, it's probably not cost effective for them to do so.

 Can people please stop being so mean to the Devs, they have a small team and they work very hard to try and bring us all this free stuff in multiplayer. It's unfortunate that there are quite a few bugs, but remember this is Mass Effect's first attempt at a multiplayer and all in all it's a fantastic addition.

To the people asking if they can 'fix' this-
You need to pay attention to the fix you want. His BASE Shields and Health cannot be adjusted short of a patch.

However, the % bonuses given from the Fitness tree can be adjusted.

So in effect, the weekly balance change fixes they do will all work on the base 500 Shields he has right now.

they can look at it and find the bugs themselves, however, since the DLC was already released i believe they couldn't fix it

You know, I think this entire thread (and several others) were actually the subject of a cutscene in ME2.

At Tali's trial, she, Shepard and KaReeger discussed the Quarian Military strength. When you brought up the subject of an invasion of Ranhoc Tali said they had plenty of supplies and antibiotics stockpiled. Shepard balked at the idea and Reeger sided with him, one particular line stands out, this isnt exact but its what I remember:

Reeger: No, he's right. You've only served with our tactical squads, you've never seen our frontline soldiers. Those stockpiles are limited and on reserve.

Most people only focus on the antibiotic bit of this, not the part where supplies are mentioned. Why does this matter?

Well, who are the other Quarian chracters? The Infiltrator and Combat Engineer. It would make sene that these are the refered to 'tactical units' while the weaker new character is the basic frontline soldier.

So while the character might be somewhat weaker, it makes perfect sense as far as canon is concerned since the Quarian's would have limited supplies, including kenetic barriers.

What Eric meant was that they can't change base health/shields. They CAN change the bonuses given from Fitness.

Relix I think he means he can't physically change the base health and shields. I think (think being the key word) that they can change the health and shield bonus given (boosting it from +75% to +90% for example when fully evolved).

As for ideas, either make Sabotage useable or perhaps buff the Headshot evo on Quarian Defender to compensate for the broken Tac Scan.

That could be a solution. Unless he shares his fitness tree with the other two QM's.

That's good reasoning, nice.

Also, he's a damage dealing character, not a tank, so this doesn't hurt him that much.

But not through weekly balance changes, like you did with Turians, Krogan and Batarians?


Yes we can adjust the bonuses from his Fitness power through live updates.
