We're thinking about more of an offensive buff to compensate for his lack of shields.

Just give him original Turian buffed Passives and he'll be perfect.

Probably by giving the Quarian a very expensive flying car.

If you do that, then you don't really need to buff his health and shields as much. I would add a 15% accuracy boost on his evolution 3a and another buff for rank 6. Turians get damage and stability passives, the quarians would fare well with an accuracy boost instead. You could then take both ROF bonus's on marksman and still get the accuracy that the turian would have if he selected accuracy on marksman. The trade off is that the turian has more shields and still has the stability buff.

This small buff would make the Quarian very effecient with high spread automatic weapons.

Honestly, the guy who mentioned Defense Matrix has the best idea (outside of a decent passive tree buff). Only drawback is that DM swap would require a patch.

I enjoy the class but a shield bump on him be nice, and hmmm the weapon boost bump woudn't hurt, he's pretty good as I built him cause I know how to tac scan like a beast then use a lvl 3 Markman abilityt o boost my fire rate to obserd levels and roast the enemy and I sabotage atals and variosu targets with a lvl 5 sab to cause explostions extra (this is notably greater for mechnized foes) but the "back fire" boost will be fine

Please make it a passive weapon dmg buff and not anything sabotage related.

Yes, an unfortunate oversight

We are discussing some form of compensation for him since we can't change health/shields through live updates.

how about removing it ?

can we have the finger point of death? (like from most Nic Cage movies)
remember the finger must be slightly crooked.

calling out banshess with my finger would make my day.

I am pro-this. He needs more offense, since I think Turian Soldier outclasses him in many ways with their abilities as they are currently. He would be an interesting choice for a soldier with lower shields but very high offense. A new glass cannon perhaps.

I don't quite understand all the fuss over 100 shields. Nearly all the humans have 500 base and of course drell and vorcha have even less. And 100 shields is such a pitiful amount when playing higher difficulties.

So the answer to this is that BW is thinking of doing something to his offense to compensate for the 100 less shields. That sounds awesome, seriously, it does, and I totally approve of such a move. But what exactly balances the OG humans who essentially excel at nothing? Is there any reason to ever play them? They do not even have their own challenges.

He's a soldier.  His characteristics do not reflect that.  There is no excuse for him being less durable than the Quarian Male Engineer and Quarian Male Infiltrator, if he doesn't have corresponding offensive passives to make up for it.

Honestly, Eric, I would much rather a real patch than "creative" fixes. It just creates more weirdness and exceptions in a game that has plenty of them already.

How do you think players who don't come on this forum are gonna know this stuff? It's not like Joe Blow ME3MP guy is gonna know that the Huntress doesn't get weapon bonus like every other Infiltrator but that that's why her passive weapon damage (or whatever you guys decide to do) is higher.

I'd much rather things just actually work the way they were intended to. Any idea on how soon a real patches that fixes some of this stuff could happen? Or do we just get to accept all these screw ups until ME4 (and maybe even not have them fixed then)?

Please don't give him the current "classic" Turian racials. I'd like to see them stay only on the Turians.

Maybe just a straight headshot damage bonus in his passive.

Would bang.

I imagine whatever adjustments Bioware makes to the MQM's fitness bonuses will be temporary until they can release a proper patch; not a bad solution given the patching cycle.   In some ways this may be a blessing as it might get the developers looking at the passive lines for all quarians both male and female (can we give female quarians something more useful than SMG weight reduction?)  At any rate, I would also like the MQM brought up in durability to at least match the other quarians if not exceed them.

Also, Bioware can we please get a Female Quarian Sentinel?  Use Tali's armored outfit as a basis.  How does Quarian Cataphract Sentinel sound?

I'd like to post my thoughts about this.

I think that giving him the passive of the old turians, without the stability improvement though, would be great.

If you could throw in a consistent reduce in sabotage cooldown as well, people would start speccing him in different ways. I wouldn't, but someone would for sure.

Hah, yes, not cataract as in the eye disease, but cataphract as in the ancient war gallies.  The "ph" makes all the difference.
