Alistair plays so hard to get I at one point got on my straight male friend's journal and left the message: "R.e. Dragon Age: HOW DID YOU GET INTO THAT MAN'S PANTS?"

I don't know why they made Alistar play hard to get for a female character. It's a rule and not exception for straight men to want to have sex quickly. Maybe he's an idealistic "fall in love" type of a guy (brainwashed by Chantry), but a man does not have to have Zevran's temperament to want to get some.
I think they just needed to equal out game mechanics a bit...

It plays into his lack of confidence... always being told he was no one, not being able to lead for game mechanics, etc... Plus it's sweet that he wants it to be right and with feeling, not just some romp in the hay.

One of the things I like best about him
Plus, if I wanna get it on sooner, there's always Zev and Leliana to use.

Motion seconded. That man is too cute to be purely hetero, plus nothing compares to the joy of tarnishing something pure.
Zevran I really don't like as a romantic interest. I play video games to escape from reality, so being forced to go with someone with a personality that's practically a carbon copy of the men that hit on me at the bar isn't particularly enjoyable. I bit my lip, rolled my eyes and went AFK to put the kettle on as soon as the steamy stuff started with him.

My spurned by Alistair City Elf was a ho. She went straight from Alistair breaking up with her to Zevran, and then to Leliana.Eruanna Guerrein wrote...

I was too. She seems more the perfect type to me than Leliana, except for her bard training I guess.

LOL I usually go in the opposite order. Plus, I was lucky enough to have high persuasion so my Dalish rogue and Al went off to rebuild the GWs together so I got my happy ending. I know you're jealous about that too...
