I actually turned Leliana and Zev down but Zev ended up back in love with me so I was getting conversations that talked first about my relationship with Al and then with Zev. I was like wtf? In the end, Al and Zev and I actually went off to rebuild the GWs, although I'm not sure Al or Zev knew that. Heh.

Zev wound up traveling with Lel and my PC once too, although I'm not sure either one knew the other was there. Funny how those endings work out.

I don't know why they made Alistar play hard to get for a female character. It's a rule and not exception for straight men to want to have sex quickly. Maybe he's an idealistic "fall in love" type of a guy (brainwashed by Chantry), but a man does not have to have Zevran's temperament to want to get some. 

I think they just needed to equal out game mechanics a bit...

What's wrong with making Alistair an exception to the "rule"? Personally I thought he was a breath of fresh air.

i did it with zevran strictly for the achievement. it may seem a bit homophobic, but i skipped that gay scene because i was definitely not in the mood to see that...

I thought it was 57%! 

It could be much greater than 75%!  100% of my randomized sample of one guy who waited did so because the girl (me, cruel creature that I am ) made him.

The fun part of all that was that I managed to rekindle the romance with Leliana, because I spurned her initial advance in favor of Alistair. It was cool to be able to work that out, if no less ho'ish.

I haven't yet been able to manage a character, regardless of origin, who wasn't a total and utter ho. After working her way around camp, even accepting Oghren's ofefr before he puked up and passed out, she spent quite a bit of coin going through all the female companions, male companions, "female" companions, and then several trips for the "surpise me" bit.

I have found that I am incapable of playing a character with even one shred of decency in this game, no matter how I try to start out. It's Bioware's fault. Blame canada. Hurrah!

I think you have a narrow mind here. I am very much a straight male and while I never liked Zevhran, it doesn't mean I can't relate to the feeling he expresses.

I don't see Alistair as hard to get at all... he's a puppy.  A little shy, but I find that I am usually stringing him out a bit in order to prolong the relationship part, because otherwise it reaches a point between sleeping with him and the Landsmeet where it kind of stagnates, no new game material with him.

It would not have been the rule at all that a man would jump into bed with the first woman prior to our century.  Not a well-bred man, anyway.   It's not brainwashing, it's being a gentleman.

personally i find zevran massively irritating (on top of being quite ugly), the sole idea of anything barely sexual with him makes me cringe, and that doesn't even come close to having anything to do with my sexual preferences. I'd hate him just as much if he was a lady.
