LOL

I think this is why I never actually participated in the Ash thread...

Ash look better in Mass Effect 3 that my opinion .

Take off the makeup, put her hair in a bun, and put her in an Alliance uniform and sure, she looks better.

Ashley face looks pretty much exactly the same. Only real difference is that her hair is down instead of being tied back.

I don't see what all the fuss is about....maybe people prefer hair up rather than down?

The only reason for this was so Ashley could compete with Miranda. No one is going to stick with Ashley from ME1 when compared to Miranda.

Its just simple biology

What? Speak for yourself on that one. I loved everything about Ash in ME1. If all you care about are women with perfect 10 bodies, then i guess in that case those people would go with Miranda. But a lot of men aren't like that, myself included. Sure i would love to have a perfect 10 girl, but if she has a bad personality then that's a huge turnoff for me. Miranda isn't a bad person, but i like Ashley's personality a lot more. Regardless i found Ash's looks and personality attractive in ME1, and even if she kept the same look in ME3, i would've rekindled my romance with her in a heartbeat.

Miranda has a great personality, she isn't a toadie for the Alliance like Ashley, she makes her own opinions of people, she is pragmatic and effiecient.  Her looks are just gravy.

Ashley repulses me in every way.

Miranda's a toadie for Cerberus. She literally cannot believe her eyes and ears when she hears bad things about Cerberus during ME2. They're both highly loyal to their organizations, highly skilled in combat, highly intelligent, BOTH form their own opinions of other people, and both are great romance Options.

I don't mind her look, in of itself. On any new character, I'd probably just sigh a little and not really give it a second thought.

I absolutely object to an existing character being put through the Stereotypical Sexualisation Machine for no better reason than "olol, we need our wimmins to look sexy". It's pathetic.

And Sanctuary worked.  it did exactly what it was supposed to, find a way to control the reapers.

You've gotta be trolling me at this point. Shepard is a Lt. Commander. If you wanna continue arguing, i suggest you google first and/or try asking other people on the BSN.
There are two types of Commanders. Staff Commander and. Lt. Commander, which comes after Staff.

And if you think Sanctuary was justified then i have no words for you.

. On the wiki it showed that Staff Commande was higher than Liutenant Commander.  Furthermore all lieutenant commanders in game are refereed to as such, both Kaidan and Ashley are called Lietuentant commander, Shepard is only called commander, therefore he is not a Liutenant commander.

and I'm saying Sanctuary wasn't evil, it was a horrible place, but it also succeded in delivering the single most damaging weapon against the reapers, the ability to control them.

im not a troll

He is a Lt. Commander. I'm going all out here to prove it to you:

Shepard is indeed a Lt. Commander but he is still her superior officer as he has date of rank grade over Ashley. He also has the billet given to him by Anderson and Hacket.

Still doesn't change her toadie status during ME2, and only if you take her with you on the final battle and choose to destroy the base.

Congratulations, you won my interwebs for the day!

So your basis for liking Ashley is the fact she is wrong and  even you though you know it, you're fine with her being all up in your face about it?

You must be associated with some cracking people.

I know that part, but that fact that she became a Spectre kind've puts her on equal ground with Shepard. By that i mean she can literally tell him to go F himself without suffering any consequences. If she had good reason to do so, she could also shoot Admiral Hackett dead, and couldn't be brought up on any charges without the Council's say so. The worst they could do to her is discharge her from the Alliance, but at the end of the day she's still a Spectre and could continue going on mission for the Alliance if she and/or the council wants her to.

On the other hand, in terms of respect she should follow Shepard's orders. She may be on equal grounds in terms of authority, but Shepard has the experience and commands a lot more loyalty. So in that regard yes, he can be viewed as a superior officer. The reason i bring this up is when people complain that Ash held her gun on a superior officer, they should understand it was well within her authority to do so.

Do you honestly think Ashley is going to keep her spectre status? She aided the enemy and almost got the council killed because she is too stupid to trust Shepard.

What does Joker say afterwards, I know with Kaidan he says that Kaidan pulled a gun on a superior officer, and he is definitely a higher rank than Ashley, and Apparantly Shepard. So is that just an error?
