I'm usually the top guy in my Gold rooms, so whenever a random comes in and does better than I did/can keep up, I'm usually pleasantly surprised.
Does anyone else actually enjoy getting outscored?

I don't care if I come first, last, or in between, as long as I had a good time and didn't pull down the team. I tend to play more of a support role anyway, guarding flanks/rear, stripping shields/barriers, lending fire as needed.
Though, funnily enough, when I play my Human Engineer, usually in a completely supporting role, I top score. Still can't figure that out.

If i'm getting out scored that means them team isn't slacking off. If I'm #1 I fear that my team is lazy and I'm doing all the work which means we may fail. I don't believe in myself yo.
not trolling I play all mp games with that in mind.

I'm happy sitting in second or third place, these days I check the score board more for the wave than anything else. As long the game is progressing quickly and smoothly I could really care less about score. Mainly cause I play primer classes which steal all the kills anyway

I dont care much about the scoreboard. I know only a handful of people who can outscore me.

I like coming in second. Third? Sure! 4th? Not so much unless 'm using a challenge weapon/class.
I enjoy pulling my weight in a team, but I don't like carrying or being carried.

Outscored doesn't not equate to better than or knowledged. I've seen plenty of noobies by Kroguard, Shadow, NovaGuard, Demolisher or Destroyer and get top score. Those are button mashing characters. They will also play the OP characters because they lack skill to play the others decently, so they compensate for that. They are usually the ones you are yelling at to get in the hack circle or stop pressing the Hazard map button.
No sir. Top score does NOT mean better.

I don't really care if I get out scored. I'm enjoying the game if I come in fifth or due to a disconnection or something problematic.

Was it a fun match and did we get extraction, that is all that I care about, I do strive for medals which to me are far more important.

The favored class of the two people I've played with most on both XBox and PC is the Geth Infiltrator. They are also better players than me in general.

I don't care. Extraction is key. Every game, I'm all over the point board. First. Last. Don't care. For me, points tend to vary with what character I'm using. Volus? I'm usually near the bottom, but have the appropriate medals. Anything Geth? Way ahead in points. Extraction is all that matters.

Anyone else hate Asari Vanguards who just throw 10+ lift grenades a wave? only kit that I have trouble with sometimes, especially on glacier

Let me put it this way, If I check the scores in a middle of a match, and see that I'm topping the list... I panic. I freak out. I get really really sad. Because I'm not that good.
I can carry a team on Silver, sure, but I'm not at that point where I can heroically solo Gold. If I look at the score, and see I have twice the points of the next guy, or maybe even more points than the other three combined - that's not a good sign, that's a bad sign.
I don't like to be dead last, because then I worry I didn't do enough. But I'm happy with a decent second or third place.

Doesn't bother me.
It just means that I get my credits quicker.

Volus are actually pretty good top earners when specced properly. *tongue in cheek* lil humor there. Seriously though you can do plenty dps with them. My own personal opinion is the adept is the weaker of the three, but not by much. I had a proximity mine race with a GI and whooped him soundly.k1ngl1ves wrote...

People who outscore me or get close almost always get friend requests. It practically never happens to me in PUGs, so its something that surprises me in a good way.

I more hate QMIs who throw two Arc Grenades to kill a single Assault Trooper when there are other grenade users on the team. You have a gun, dammit, why don't you use it?

When I dont get 1000 plus points for firing a couple of bullets while stealing a kill, I'll change my mind on how score matters.

I've come in last before. I have come in first. I have also been kicked and friended for both, So honestly it really doesn't matter as long as you have fun.

I rarely get outscored but when I do, then that means it's a good thing. Means I have very competent teammates and rarely wipe. I'd rather get outscored and extract than lead the scoreboard and wipe on waves 9-11.
