I don't give a ****, just give me credits at the end of the match.

If you're so caught up in the score, you're playing the wrong game and should go enjoy something else where you can flex your epeen.

I don't care. Extraction is key. Every game, I'm all over the point board. First. Last. Don't care. For me, points tend to vary with what character I'm using. Volus? I'm usually near the bottom, but have the appropriate medals. Anything Geth? Way ahead in points. Extraction is all that matters.

Volus are actually pretty good top earners when specced properly. *tongue in cheek* lil humor there. Seriously though you can do plenty dps with them. My own personal opinion is the adept is the weaker of the three, but not by much. I had a proximity mine race with a GI and whooped him soundly.

As a Volus, I typically just debuff and revive while shield boosting.  I never use a Volus in pugs.  If I did, I'm sure my usual outcome would be different... but I prefer my team-first play style Volus in private games.;)

I don't mind generally because the top scorer is usually the one that is working with me in a synergetic manner with kits that shouldn't, but we have this sort of telepathy going on.

It's even lovelier when all four of us are doing it, and we get about nearly the same score with just a tiny different between. Those matches I love.

Outscored doesn't not equate to better than or knowledged. I've seen plenty of noobies by Kroguard, Shadow, NovaGuard, Demolisher or Destroyer and get top score. Those are button mashing characters. They will also play the OP characters because they lack skill to play the others decently, so they compensate for that. They are usually the ones you are yelling at to get in the hack circle or stop pressing the Hazard map button.

No sir. Top score does NOT mean better.

I just don't get why you lump the Novaguard in that same pile. Bronze/Silver, sure, very easy to get top score with the NG. But Gold/Collectors... if I see someone outscore me with an NG (without dying too much), I tip my hat to them, they are probably a great player. I've actually rarely seen Shadows get top scores either, even if they are good. They just can't keep with the DPS of other characters, especially if a faction is one like Collectors for example.

I'm not bothered by this at all...at the end of the day being extracted is what matters most. Every character is meant to be played differently with varying gaming mechanics....certain characters are just made to produce points faster than other characters.

Of course players wiping out on waves and doing objectives while other players are accumilating points killing enemies are a factor as well, being outscored is not an issue for me...

I find it sort of a fun competitive thing. I don't just whip out a GI with guns out the wazoo next match, but I will go in guns blazing and with fresh determination to dominate all before me!

So having someone do that much work is nice, but inspiring me to try harder for the sake of kicking his score's but the next match is much nicer.

As someone who's used to scoring the most points, I find it refreshing to play with someone better than me. That being said it can be frustrating constantly getting your kills stolen by someone just following you around with their Harrier V+, so I might feel the need to move to the other side of the map.

I like being number 2 with a high score, and number 1 have a higher. Means I'm great, and there's someone I can rely on.

If I'm in first place, it probably means the match is going a little badly.

It's a little intimidating sometimes. I joined a server with 2 Best-of-the-best guys and third who was clearly a pro. In the end, I switched to volus because by the time I saw a target, it was already almost dead. I left after a few rounds because I felt like I was leeching. :(

No, I don't really care about the score. Unless you're trying to determine if someone is leeching, score doesn't matter.

I don`t really care, one way or another. As someone who`S just now moving up to Gold, I learned that you can actually be at the bottom of the score and still be a valuable player in the match; be it by playing medic, helping with the objectives or watching other players back.

Sometimes a chain overload can save the neck of the only other guy alive in a wave, even if HE, and not you, gets 3 kills afterwards.

I also discovered that I learn much more about the game by playing with people better than me.

I play as a Shadow a lot of the time (I know... a lot of you hate Infiltrators), and I assume I'll be outscored because all I'm doing is Shadow Striking troublemakers - the Nemesis / Phantoms, Marauders, Ravagers, Pyros, Hunters, etc. I'm not going after high kill counts, it's not my job - the SI is a chess piece, not a bulldozer. I rarely even bother to hunt down any enemies in the first couple rounds unless they're right in my face; the squad can easily handle them. And I ALWAYS help AND defend objectives if I can get there in time.

In short, I assume I'll be outscored because that's the role of the character. If I'm at the top of the board, then 3 other players weren't doing their jobs.

But that's just how I play it... following the roles because that's what makes it fun. Otherwise, if you have 4 players just running around trying to kill everything they can before anyone else does, that's not multiplayer, it's multi-SINGLE player.

All I care about is the credits. Since I gain experience from my squadmates I could care less about score. I'm out to kill the enemy with extreme prejustice. I don't care if you shot something I was aiming at. I don't care if a vanguard storms in and crushes a target I striped the shields from. There are only three things I ask from my teamates in this game. Do you revive? Do you escort? Do you hack? If you kill everything in sight that is a bonus.

as others have already said..

Its a rare but pleasant surprise when it happens (unless its done by someone who doesn't stay in "easy" hack circles [I understand that having someone stay outside the circle is a valid strategy on some "hard" hack circles])

Doesn't happen often with my usual kits, I don't mind it one bit when I'm on a kit I don't play often however, it means I likely won't have to carry with something I'm not as comfortable with. Can't remember the last time I was outscored playing with most soldiers or pretty much any infiltrator, but the fury (as an example)? I can usually keep up with the top scores of the match but I won't be setting any records any time soon.

Playing gold with friends.....so it doesn't matter, always trying to do my best. Team work > score

On silver and bronze....doesn't matter either :P

It's a great thing not to feel like you need to be the top scorer. Once you get to a skill level where you can top score if you want but are content to take the fourth spot and be happy to let others feel like they did a great job you've mastered the game and your own insecurities. It is a coop game after all and if one has a need to ball-hog every kill possible, one can always solo.

I couldn't care less about score. So long as we get through the match to extraction (creds), and it was a fun match along the way i'm happy. If I want to top the scoreboard, i'll solo.

I am indiferent, I don't like it or dislike it, I don't care, I just play... what question is this? it's a team game, the point is to have a good team work and players who each fits one role to benefit others, e.g. if you play solely support character or healer (volus adept aka nurse or geth engineer without hunter mode aka moving shield pylon) you will never top the score but without you the match could easily fail
