...but I have yet to see it "in the wild", as it were. I'm waiting to hear confirmation on that subject before I buy.

Bioware has stated there will be full compatibility between the games...

I just hope they could make good on their promises. I have the feeling all their resources have now shifted to their next project (probably DA3), like I don't even think we will receive another patch for ME3 by the way they say they're addressing some of the recently discovered bugs.

Does the trilogy version of ME1 have a booklet?
Does the download version of ME1 (or the trilogy version) work properly? Think I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about it here, by the sounds of it.

Bookmark. I do want to know if you can use your ME1 saves for ME2 etc on PS3.

so far I am enjoying the downloaded version just fine. Not a lot of time spent with it since The Sons of Anarchy season finale was tonight.

Edit: ...but a patch may still be required for ME2 to recognise the saves.

Unfortunately, the patch didn't seem to fix the romance scene issue.

Someone said the download game is 11Gb but you need 22Gb. Sheesh!
Anyway, the only thing I'm not looking forward to is replaying ME2 after playing ME1, when I eventually do. I did want to create a female Shepard and I may just do that for ME1. Might skip the bit where I have Good and Evil Shepards though...got a weird looking Shepard for ME2...hybrid between Yul Brynner...just with Alan Jones mouth...hmm.
Once again, thumbs down to EA for thinking that a trilogy in two parts was cool for Mass Effect...now I gotta do all that damned boring mining again in ME2!

Hopefully the game works the way that it was intended to work (i.e. saves from older games in series transport to new games in trilogy). Be interesting to see how many people complain about glitches and bugs... since I think some of those date back to the 360, you'd think that they'd fix it up for the PS3.

Mine was also 11GB, and the installation after the download took almost an hour!

Anyone gotten so far as to go for the Long Service Medal PS3 trophy with an import? Or do you have to go through with a character from the comic like the trophy states? I'd prefer to do an import to get it, but if I have to play through ME2 twice, not a big deal.
Please report back if you could earn the trophy when you have finished ME2 with a imported ME1 character. I'm not able to test it myself but I'd be quite interested to know.

Not sure whether to get ME1 via PSN or see if the trilogy pack is on special before Christmas. I'd already wasted money buying 360 versions of ME1 and ME2 (dirt cheap mind) in the belief that I'd have to buy a 360 to play the trilogy 'as intended'...which is just another reason to be bugged by the game finally getting released on PS3. Man, I hope ONE of these consoles dies so you don't have to put up with exclusives any more!

I'm doing a run through with the comic but I'm not going to complete it until I get an ME import in and run that through first. This might take me a few weeks to do as work is sucking my free time away so I can't blow through ME in a week like I can normally do when I'm determined.
I'm not seeing any definitive answer on that but it looks like, either do two imports or one run through with the comic to get the Long Service Medal trophy which kind of sucks, but I can live with it. Not like I won't play this more than enough anyway

By the way, the trophies were updated in game, and yes, an import will over-ride the comic requirement for completion and vice versa. Not that I'd only play these three once each anyway....
Do you mean you can get Long Service Medal from ME2 on PS3 by importing a ME1 Shepard and finishing that playthrough?
EDIT: according to PS3trophies.org you can get the trophy by importing a ME1 Shepard.
