You're surprised that the highest rated game of the year got game of the year? I think you need to understand that everyone else is not going to ignore 98% of a great game because of a contriversial 2%.

I don't expect them to win every GOTY award, but ME3 is genuinely a good game despite its flaws.

I want Halo 4 to win a lot of awards though. Just to give 343 a pat on the back for not ****ing up the Halo franchise.

Cod MW3 is not the highest rated game of the year. It's not even the highest rated shooter, Farcry 3 is the highest rated shooter.
 ME3, if you take the time to look, is the highest rated  published game of the year.

Although I don't like it, it's not unexpected.

It seems like Halo 4 came out to close to whatever drop dead date these guys are using and out side of ME3 and maybe AC3 what other AAA games actually gained legs?

D3 was a complete ****storm on release, and is only now cleaning itself up. And I honestly can't think of another game, maybe BL2, that reviewers were raving about.

Makes sense. The game is a masterpiece of epic proportions. Most mind blowing video game ending I've ever experienced.

My personal option though. Kudos to Bioware for winning. They deserve it.

The game won for absolutely no ****ing reason at all. If ME1 or 2 don't win, 3 should definitely NEVER have won. It is the weakest for a number of reasons, starting with the auto diaologue, bad ending, ME1 characters not importing, and everything else. Not a bad game, not GOTY, especially when compared to the other two
