I'm not surprised. I mean there were 75 so called 'professional' reviewers who gave ME3 a perfect score, obviously it's going to be their GOTY if that's the case.

Their credibility was already 0. This doesn't change a thing.

Hope EA is happy with this. Thankfully 'perfect' scores and 'game of the year' doesn't mean your next game will sell any better:whistle:

Sometimes they are persuaded.

If they took bribes from EA, Medal of Honor wouldn't have gotten scathed. 

It's more subtle than bribes to be sure. The MO is to get buddy-buddy with the "objective" reviewers such that honesty can sometimes be shelved so you don't hurt your bros' feelings from the game companies whose products you are supposed to be appraising.

Just because it gets GOTY doesn't mean that place accepted bribes. The amount of people who think ME3 is a bad game in general are definitely the minority. Even the weeks after release most people on this very board said it was excellent besides the ending.

That´s like an opinion dude, and I could find atleast 2 or 3 other titles better this year as much 5-10 RPG games from last decade better  then ME2 including ME1, DA:O, SW:KOTOR ...

Mass Effect 3 should be judged by objective critique and not some bunch of paid jackals, if there was some normal journalism around the internet then Mass Effect 3  would  deserve 70-80/100 scores and not 95+, I am curious how can people call ME3 the best game of series or the best entry into series when overall it´s downgrade of all improvements which made this series so unique and loved betwen their fans.

Mass Effect 3 managed to divide whole fanbase, create greater backlash in game industry, hate, disgust, lot of plotholes and contradictions... if these journalist would rather analyze why these aspects appeared instead of how to bash them, then they would not just reconsider their overall rankings but I could  also said that they are objective.

If I want just spill the hate then I would say that Mass Effect 3 would deserve 10-20-30-40-50-60 % rankings, I tried to be objective despite that I don´t like an endings, but there is lot of flaws in whole Mass Effect 3 and if you can´t see them then it´s good for you, but I am taking ME3 for what it is - mediocre attempt to milk a franchise.

It´s like saying that The Matrix is worse then Matrix 2 and 3, which is not true - because first film was apex of what they could make yet they manage to screw it with same errors like ME3...

Just saying man, a lot of people around here are pretty much the reason why the industry is what it is. I  wouldn't be the first to condemn since you are without sin as well.

I actually agree with you, I really don't see why they keep insisting.  The whole "I don't like where the whole gaming industry is going" mindset... it's been like this for years.  Money/Purchases speaks louder than words.

Well that's it then everyone. Game Informer, the world renowned esteem reviewers have spoken. The same reviewers that scored Resident Evil 5 - 9.5/10. Yes ladies and gentlemen, Game Informer regards Resident Evil 5 as at the precipice of gaming perfection. Rightfully standing shoulder to shoulder with such greats such as Grim Fandango, Metal Gear Solid and Deus Ex.

In all seriousness does anyone ever listen to these types of review sites? In all fairness Mass Effect 3 (despite the ending and the pew-pew) was undoubtedly the game of the year (maybe tied with To the Moon, but when are indie developers ever going to be supported by mainstream review sites). But what does that say about gaming year 2012. Now if Mass Effect 3 came out in 2008 amongst the likes of GTAIV, Metal Gear Solid 4, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Fable 2, it wouldn't have stood a chance.

Congratulations anyway BioWare, use this as an excuse to launch a Mass Effect 3 GOTY Edition for more $$$ and justify more corridor shooting pew-pew for DLC.

Dismissing someone's post as opinion and then going on to post a whole bunch of opinions is just funny, that's all. I wasn't objecting to your score of 70-80 specifically.

Your line of thinking that changing things from ME1 during the course of the series is objectively bad is a good place to start when showing just how biased your "objectivity" is. In actuality I am not alone in thinking ME2's streamlined gameplay made for a better game, even if it was less of an RPG.

Of course they care, they just don't admit it because nerds think its uncool and to show their superiority they say otherwise.

Hell, I do it all the time. I hate the VGAs and don't care about the show one iota, but I was pissed that Mass Effect 3 didn't get any nominations for best score. Stupid, I know, but its one of those things ingrained in us that makes us care about something we hold dear.
