Saw this coming a mile away. Now watch as more gaming publications choose it as well. It won't be as unanimous as Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Red Dead/ME2 were.....but there will be more outlets declaring ME3 their Game of the Year.
There's simply not that many games that have matched its quality or developer support this year. Also its the highest rated game of the year. The majority of BSN may be surprised to find out that they don't represent the majority of the overall fanbase.

But its worse than the Walking Dead, XCOM, and other games that came out this year. Your damn right its not perfect, its no where near there.

Well yea, that's a given.
The only practical use of the BSN userbase is the abundant amount of negative feedback that Bioware can use to improve their games. Otherwise, it's basically an cynical, pseudo-intellectual circle jerk.
EDIT:
To be fair though, this is probably true of most official game support forums.

Umm, that's why I said, it's *my* opinion. If *I* think it's game of the year, that's *my* opinion. You may not agree this game deserves GOTY, and that's just fine, but I'm just letting people know how I felt about it. That's why we don't all have to agree or think alike.

Why does it matter when MW3 came out. It's basically COD4 with a new sprinting animation. It technically came out in 2007.
